I have seen the details given. Since there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise, there is no way to give any suggestion. In patients with diabetes, uncontrolled high glucose levels are the main or the only reason for causing damage to kidney and leading to long term problem of failure. The antidiabetic drugs used (oral) are quite safe. There are patients on oral drugs for over 50 years without any damage to kidney. But if glucose levels are not well controlled that is sure to damage kidney filtration membrane and lead to end stage kidney failure. Thanks.
