Asked for male, 41 years old from Kurnool

Sir,aged 38 working as a teacher. My height is 5'8 and weight is 62. I have no BP and Diabetes. This is my MRI report and prescriptions. I have been suffering from pain and radiation on thighs and buttocks, if sitting for more than 15 min, for the past 6 years. There is no numbness and no claudication. Though I consulted many neuro physicians, the problem remains the same (neither increased nor decreased. I have been doing some doctor suggested exercises and feeling some what better. But How long I have to suffer? Can't I get permanent solution to this problem? Pls suggest me the best way to get cure from this disease. I have earlier used medicines like 1. Gabapin SR 450mg 2. Mecozen plus 3. Neupent AF 450mg 4. Pregalin SR 150 5. Evion. Now I am using 1. Calsar K27 2. Mecgla 3. Neuraction P75 4. Flamoral Tc 5. Etogesic P.

My mother aged 58 has been suffering from severe burning pain in left upper back near scapular region which sometimes radiate down the arm, shoulder and neck and lower back. It started about an year ago with pain at single point in breast and back. Doctors in bangalore asked to undergo ultrasound and ift physiotherapy of 5 sessions each. In october, she underwent 2 sessions each of both after which the pain increased profoundly and covered the complete left upper back, shoulder and arm. She was bedridden. Slowly on orthopaedic consultation, she started to take medication of calcium, vitamin d and meganeuron od plus. She also started to exercise slowly with mainly exercises of arm and shoulder. However in may, the pain suddenly increased a lot. On suffering an orthopedic, she underwent mri of spine and left shoulder joint. It revealed mild to moderate tendinosis of supraspinatus and subscapularis tendon. Also mild adhesive capsulitis and intramuscular lipoma in anterior deltoid fibers. Mri orf spine was normal. Doctor recommended medicines like pregalin m 75, etova, calcium and vitamin d capsules along with few exercises. After 1 month of medication, she has only gotten mild relief. Now she is again taking meganeuron od plus with calcium and vitamin d capsules with exercises. The pain she feels is burning pain in scapular region. Sometimes radiating in arm, armpits and neck. When she sleeps on left side or flat on her back, after waking up, slight protrusion appears over scapula bone when compared with right side which after sometimes go away. Pain is sometimes very severe and sometimes slightly lower but pain remains persistent and burning. After exercising, sometimes pain increases. She is not able to sleep on her left side or on her back for long. She is constantly in pain while sitting, sleeping. However she tries to keep moving and exercising. I want to know if she has been correctly diagnosed with muscular problems and whatever showed on mri. Or there may be something else bothering her. Pain has become chronic and has been since last 1 year. She is severely depressed and not able to sleep. So she has been taking lonazep 0.5 since last 10 months since ift physiotherapy. Is there anything else should I do?

I had vitamin d3 deficiency which somehow did not get attention from my side for almost 2 years & I have landed up in few issues with my spine leading to body pain symptoms such as knees, legs, back fingers, shoulder, etc. Severity is more when I get up in the morning. I have directed to arthritis specialist however all arthritis tests were negative & problem did not settle even after Dr. treated me for about 4 months with lubrijointod 1 tablet daily and etova400 (painkiller). Subsequently, I was directed to pain management specialist, who advised to get x-ray & mri done for the spine. And multiple problems were observed related to the spine. 1. X-ray of the thoracolumbar spine: few marginal & few bridging osteophytes appears mildly reduced 2. X-ray of the pelvis with both hips: normal 3. Mri cervical spine: a. Partial fusion of vertebral bodies & right sided facet joints of c4 & c5 verbetre with rudimentary intervening intervertebral disc, suggestive of partial c4/c5 block vertebra b. The mild diffuse posterior bulge of desiccated c3-c4 intervertebral disc c. Mild left posterolateral bulge of dessicated c4-c5 intervertebral disc d. Mild hypertrophy at c5/c6 level 4. Mri -lumbar spine with sacroiliac joints screening: a. Mild left forminal bulge of the partially dessicated l3-l4 intervertebral disc, causing narrowing of the left neural foramen & indenting the left exiting l3 nerve root. B. Same as above for l4-l5. Exiting l4 nerve root c. The mild diffuse posterior bulge of the partially dessicated l5-s1 intervertebral disc, indenting the thecal sac. D. Mild facial arthropathy at l5-s1 intervertebral disc level request your guidance to know what is the exact problem? Is it repairable or I have to carry this as is? I still continue to have the pain. Any treatment would help me? (medicine-allopathy/ayurvedic/homeopathy or message.) I have taken physiotherapy for about 1 month & they had given me @30+ exercises to do on daily basis.

You are having multiple small problems in the spine may be secondary to the degenerative changes in the spine. Only thing is you are only 57 years old and the age-related changes seem to be a little premature.
What about your blood work?
Having these changes in the spine you will have to concentrate on your blood parameters also.

first of no need to avoid forward bending or use of lumbar belt. Do go with mri reports. Most of the normal people at your age show same kind of changes on mri. First of tell me what you do and how much physical activity you have in your daily routine? Regards.

Use soft cervical collar for 2-3 weeks. Medications like Enzomac and Etova Mr. will help.
Moist Hot water compression will help.
Gentle active and resisted neck exercises will help.
Avoid jerky movements.
Spasm will take 2-3 weeks to recover.

Lupila d is for acidity -avoid and use enzymes like unizymes or kitchen products & eat light. This medicine has long term side effects like liver/kidney failure.
Etova is given for joint pains.
Do get back here or go to see your doctor and get back here with real heart problem.
