There are multiple neurotropic and anxiety medications and all are known to give such problems on their own. Treatment appears to be for psychological upset which may also add to complaints. Normal approach is to have complete check up by a neurophysician to investigate and rule out any organic, bodyly or functional disorder. If found normal then regular treatment and follow up by psychiatrist even if normal extending for long time. Your psychiatrist will be able in a better position to explain ...more

Hello drs. I had porn addition for 8 years and I got depression. Before 2 years I realised it I started quiting but I was always falling again and again then I started using medicine and I wasn't able to stop and I was getting more depression so before two months I got in relationship and along with medicine my life becomes better than I stopped my medicine now i'm only taking etizolam and escitalopram oxalate before sleeping but I still have some problems like feeling sleepy and tired most of the time and not feeling to spent time with my friends like before but i'm spending my time with my gf and family also although I have tested my self by watching porn but I didn't feel anything for it no reaction at all (more than 4 months clear). So my question is how my old energy and excitement in life will come back and what I am in now is it depression or what? And do I have to stop having sex with my gf? Thanks for supporting community.

There are multiple issues.
Let's go one by one: 1. Depression: symptoms of tiredness, increased sleepiness and no response on watching porn which amounts to lack of sexual arousal are all well established signs of depression. So, even now I suspect that you have ongoing depression which needs to be managed by either change in meds (if escitalopram is not working ).
2. Porn: watching porn alters your motivation system (dopamine system) so much that you no more feel motivated to do anythin...more

I am suffering from cannabis induced psychosis from 8 years. See I am really stressed and depressed in my life. I hear voices which bully me, I see people talking about me and all things. I am educated about symptoms but not getting a treatment. Please I need treatment. Will anyone help. Escitalopram, venlafaxine, fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, oleanz plus, lurasid. All done on me. I gave every medicine enough time. I mean to every medicine a year. And every single medicine I mentioned gave me panic attacks, heavy eyes, heavy head. Please understand me I blindly followed every psychiatrist I visited but what will I do when the medicine gives me relaxation for 1 week, than headache starts, after that heavy head and sometimes panic attack. After that my doctor says its due to anxiety, I still take it, than a worst panic attack comes. Than I take etizolam, than paroxetine starts than the same thing repeats after sometime. From last 5 years, I am in a circle of my health. Crying.

These are all psychotic symptoms and need not only medication but also intense psychotherapy. If you have not tried therapy, you are likely to get worse and suffer unnecessary disturbances. So now you need not follow therapy blindly because you will be taught tools, skills, and techniques to help you deal with the psychosis. This is a difficult path but it is clearly the best way to sort out your problems effectively. There is no doubt that this disease is debilitating but you must persevere not...more

you are very right about normal range of tsh levels. At 8.5 milli units/ml, with normal t4, the condition is classified as sub- clinical hypothyroidism. This normally is not treated with any drugs. Treatment is advised only once the levels cross 10 milli units or there are troublesome symptoms with lower tsh levels. As regards food intake you have to have a balanced diet, but avoid certain foods like - soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, peanuts, radish, mustard a...more
