Beta blocker can cause erectile dysfunction in some people not all and that too is completely reversible once you stop it. If you do not have any sexual side effects at present then no need to stop it and no need to worry. There won't be any permanent damage. If you have any sexual symptoms at present then consult for medicine change.

You are on good medication but your problem is that you have not combined it with therapy. In therapy you will learn a lot of skills, tools and techniques to help you cope with your condition. Since you are so young, there is a very good likelihood of there being either genetic causes or some very early childhood influences. If you cooperate you can change very well. But medicine by itself is not enough. The earlier the detection and intervention, the better the results. Don't delay or waste thi...more

Dear Aashi,
No drug is safe. You need to take it whenever the benefit exceeds the side effect. If you are using it without doctor's prescription, if you feel safe in storing the tablet, if you are increasing the dose over years, if your main worry is getting the tablet and if you are neglecting your responsibilities, probably you have become dependent on it.
If you are using it to reduce your anxiety, it is better that you learn a non medical method of managing your anxiety.

Doses need to be titrated as all of the anti OCD medications are also antidepressants. Apart from that you need exercise regularly so that your body also naturally tries to cope with depression by releasing endorphins during exercise. Endorphins are natural antidepressants and make mood better. Avoid caffeinated drinks as they will worsen anxiety and depression. Do some breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.
