Sir, my hormones including progesterone, estradiol test was done on 19/01/2017 which was the 15th day of my cycle (lmp-05/01/2017). I think in the test was done during luteal phase. progesterone result units was 0.4 ng/ml and estradiol was 403. 0pg/ml. Testosterone result was 49 ng/ml over normal range of 8-48 ng/ml. I got this examination done because I was not getting conception and wanted to know the reason for infertility. Thn my Obgyn ordered for HSG and the result showed cervix, endometrial cavity, fallopian tubes were normal and normal bilateral tubal architecture. Then my doctor gave me clomid/chlomephene in the month of march 2017. Then I did not conception over clomid. After that I did not visit any doctor. naturally I got a positive test In july and then I had a missed abortion. By gods grace now I am 6 weeks pregnant and went to a doctor yesterday. HE said it is too early to go for an ultra sound. But seeing the previous reports he prescribed for progesterone 200 mg capsules. I saw the warnings and scared. I need your advise whether I should take this during pregnancy. I am pregnant after a long wait. I do not want to take any risk. Please advise me. Your advise means lot to me. Thank you.

There is no harm in taking progesterone if you have previous h/o missed abortion and more so you have conceived after a long await, rather it will be beneficial. After a week get a TVS done to confirm the cardiac activity of the baby

Hi lybrate-user,
I appreciate you seeking help. It is now advisable to get a mammogram done first. If found suspicious, one should proceed for a biopsy. Nevertheless, please consult a breast specialist in person for further evaluation and treatment as appropriate. Do take care and all the very best.
Sincerely,

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.
Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

The symptoms may not be related. You just have to keep observing and repeat some tests like urine routine and CBC. Review with the doctor. Adopt a very healthy life style which will help not only your menstrual cycles but also overall health. Exercising (maintaining an ideal weight) will keep you fit and energetic and will keep many problems at bay.
