Go for regular walk
Cut down on oily foods

Hi, Lybrate user, your bp is almost normal due to administration of hypertensive medication, only and withdrawal of medication might shoot your bp, up ,further.
Always, be in touch with your physician in this regards before holding amlodepin.

A 45 years old male patient, a known case of hypertension was being treated with amlodipine from several months .suddenly he noticed leg oedema .a doctor advised to switch off the amlodipine and gives another alternative .but still after 10-15 days of stopping amlodipine ,leg odema reduces very gradually .is it a natural process? Amlodipine induced pedal edema usually takes some time to resolve. It depends on how much edema was there on first hand. But still there are something’s that should be checked out at least considering patient is known hypertensive. Get s.creat, potassium, sodium done. This is bare minimum. Review with reports.
