Little bit difference. Side effects like swelling over legs is less with S-Amlodipine, Also efficacy is little superior of S-Amlodipine but if her BP is controlled with Amlodipine you can continue with that.

You can start with 2.5 mg at bed time initially (Max effect of the drug should be present in Early morning hours) and check your Blood pressure at several times .If it reaches 130/80 you can continue that. Otherwise You have to take 5.0 mg at Bed time and Check your BP. You have not mentioned your Age. If you are a person with lot of psychological tension Your BP will Vary depending on Your Tension. Hello, Normal blood pressure is 120/80. It may vary slight person to person. If you are having amlovas 2.5 then continue it. Don't discontinue suddenly. Monitor blood pressure for 8 days then consult your physician. Then only take the decision. Do regular yoga & meditation.
