The age at which she had the breakdown is not surprising: late adolescence is normally the period when most people have these breakdowns and are indicative of childhood influences and genetic factors. It is not due to the medications, your paranoia makes you think so. The medication dose might be very less to address your symptoms. So consult your psychiatrist again and get the dose changed. The symptoms are most commonly due to the illness which shows exacerbations and remissions. All the best.

Petril medication especially the plain preparation of 0.5 mg and 0.25 mg are both only anti-anxiety medications and you will do well with the addition of an anti depressant. If you believe that your previous medications made you more anxious, you should be able to use other medications without experiencing such distressing anxiety. Since you mention that there is a recurrence of depression and hyperacidity, kindly contact us so that we can suggest medications appropriately.

You are suffering too long with depression. Don't lose hopes. 20% of depressions are treatment resistant. For those like you, psychiatrists have many treatment options. You can take a course of 6 - 9 ECTs (electroconvulsive therapy) or rTMS sessions, or CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), or you can add samE, Vitamin D3 (if it is low), thyroxine, 5HT, fish oil, etc. Your psychiatrist will be able to prescribe them for you. Please remember that these treatments are in additi...more
