Dear lybrate user,
There is no difference in their mechanism of action. Sizodon is absorbed in the stomach and intestines before getting into blood stream whereas sizodon MD dissolves in the mouth itself and works the same way as sizodon does, if it is put in the mouth. Nothing to worry. Both are same.

You are being treated for your ocd but I don't think it is as simple as that. You do have a serious problem otherwise too and must continue it until the doctor says to stop or reduce it. If you are in doubt, please do talk to your doctor because you have every right to know what your treatment is all about. Meet with a counselor also. Please take your parents with you to determine the possible developmental issues that may have contributed to this condition. This is a fear-based condition and fo...more

Although this is a long time and you will probably remain so on medication you must still persevere. Schizophrenia is a very complex and difficult disease to treat, even with medication. All psychotropic medicines have side-effects: that is inescapable. But I suspect that you are depending entirely on medication when in reality you need to combine it with counseling or therapy. In therapy you will learn a lot of coping mechanisms and techniques to remain functional and lead a close-to-normal lif...more
