Dear Lybrateuser,
if you have cleaned the wound with running water & applied an antibiotic cream, you continue with the present course of vaccine & complete the remaining doses only, don't have to restart the schedule.

You can continue with your vaccine schedule. You don't have to get any extra vaccines. Current vaccination will cover both the incidents.
Once completely vaccinated you are safe for next 3 months.
If after that you are bitten you'll need just 2 doses of vaccine.

However, in healthy individuals this regimen can provide protection for up to 1 year from the date of vaccination. In the case of a rabies exposure before the second vaccination, the patient is recommended to receive a full course of pep, with rig in cases of severe exposure.

Dear user, the virus spreads by saliva so a minor scratch will not be much of a problem. You can continue the same vaccine as per schedule and the scratch should have been cleaned with running water and soap initially. You can consult me for more doubts and medications regarding this online by clicking on my photo and booking an appointment however, if you found my answer helpful, please leave a positive feedback as it helps me with my practice. Thank you.

Just complete your rabies vaccination schedule. No need to start the vaccination from the first dose again. So you should complete your current schedule and rest of the doses of rabies vaccination should be given.

Dear user, not necessary. Scratch from a dog will not cause a rabies infection. You will need a tetanus injection for the scratch. Good luck.
