My father is 54 year old weighs 70 kgs has had a brain hemorrhage 5 months ago. His right side was paralyzed and and the hemorrhage on basal ganglia due to high blood pressure. Doctors have put him no blood pressure control medications and epotin er 300 Muscle spasticity is on the right side of the body. My father is keen on leaving eptoin er because it has side effects. Please advice to continue or not.

No eptoin must be continued or another antiepileptic. This drug will be needed for 1 year or so then can be tapered.

I had a seizure stroke on 14/06/2015 during sleep. All the tests were done including MRI. Reports were normal. Doctor kept me on EPTOIN 300 ER once a day with frisium 10 and folvite and nerfit. Since then I am taking these medicines. I never had any problem after 2015 june. My doctor said initially that I had to take these medicines for a year. But now he does not stop the medicines and is saying that keep taking till I say. Kindly guide me what shall I do.

You have to do an EEG and decide if you have to continue medication, if you have an epileptic focus

My son is 3 years 5 months old. He hits himself and becomes aggressive and behaves violently he hits his head on the wall, he hits his throat stomach and so. So we consulted a pediatrician and through EEG we came to know that he is having abnormal epilepsy activity. He is taking EPTOIN, piracetam and VALPARIN syrup from july but it continues the same and it is becoming really worse please help me and suggest us what to do to stop this?

Hi, I read your problem. Your son unfortunately has seizure disorder. These disorders need a lot of patience from the side of physicians and neurologists and most of it is born by the parents. He might have behavioral disturbances which are not uncommon in seizure disorder. Adding an antipsychotic agent (serotonin dopaminergic) agent might help. But suddenly few days back again she got the attack and then doctor told her to take levera 500 and eptoin 100 mg. She is a chronic kidney disease patient. Now my question is can she take green table only at night time instead of these medicines.

Very difficult to understand which is the green tablet, but whatever it was it was controlling the seizures so you can start it but do it in consultation with the doctor who has prescribed these medication.

Sir I was addicted to spasm proxyvon for 9 years and alprazolam for 6 years. I left them 3 weeks then. And now I am getting seizures and my doctor prescribed me eptoin 100 mg (3 tabs per day) and levipil 500 mg (2 tabs per day). My ct scan and eeg reports are normal. Should I continue with these medicines? Please suggest me. I was heavily addicted to those drugs. Should I take any other medicines?

You have to take the seizure drugs as long as you have symptoms and may be able to stop after 2 months.

I am 30 years old. Taking eptoin 1-0-2 and gardenal 30 mg 1-0-1. As of now. Before tat was taking neuro med for epilepsy for 12 years. Having scalp psoriasis for a year. Took treatment and it is ok now with kertyol pso shampoo. Taking shampoo daily. For a 2 week having irresistible skin itching in both hands. Tried dermocalm lotion. And alaspan but still could not control.
