Is there any treatment for pronunciation difficulty during conversation and always searching for words to say during conversation (even when i'm not anxious talking with my family or friends) which makes me looks like a dump during conversation? I do experience depression at some times and anxious every time. (these which I believe is the side effects of "phenytoin" I took for 7 years continuously for epilepsy, discontinued 10 years ago. I've been suffering from these symptoms since back then). Please do not prescribe ssri like the doctors given to me when I consulted. I do not want further side effects. Have digestion issues also. Foods like onion, tomato, milk and other dairy products especially with high sugar content, fried food items, fast foods, etc. Worsens my stomach and causes depression there after. Will cerebrolysin / cerebroprotein hydrolysate help me frame sentences during conversation? Also heal / regenerate neurons in brain which eventually helps me perform better? I'm sorry for suggesting this i'm not going to self medicate. I suffered a lot due to this. My career growth is stunned, I don't know what to do to cure this. The usual "meditation" thing is not working for me. I tried it for 3 months with no improvement. Feels like i'm losing hope.

Stammering is often due to underlying anxiety and lack of self confidence. Treatment with anti-anxiety medications often help. There are other anti-anxiety medications other than ssri. Cerebrolysin / cerebroprotein hydrolysate has no significant role in improving this. You can also take help of speech therapists.

Im searching a best seizure medicine which has very low side effect and which do not effect to liver, kidney heart and others organs, my neuro doctor has offered me to choose one medicine from "phenytoin, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, eslicarbazepine, sodium valporate, topiramate, levetiracetam, lamotrigine, diavalporex, phenobarbitone, currently i'm taking clobazam 12.5 mg and lacosamide 200 mg per day but nothing improvement. I feels suddenly extreme difficulty till 30 to 50 second, I always remain conscious at that time and can talk with anyone but that difficulty what I feels which is unable to express in words. My mri report show: ring shaped cortical/ subcortical lesion with eccentric dot and blooming on swi and calcification on phage image in the left hippocampal formation with minimal peripheral gliosis/edema. Findings represent calcified granuloma most likely related to neurocysticercosis. Other diagnostic consideration is tuberculosis. 2. Mild increased signal and volume loss of the left hippocampus as compared to right. Finding are suggestive of left mesial temporal sclerosis. Clinical correlation is suggested" while I do eeg test when normal condition always show normal eeg but when 30-50 second extreme difficulty happen during eeg show abnormal ieds: left anterior temporal and there are few sharp wave discharge starting from left anterior temporal region. Now according some above report which medicine is the best for me please suggest. I want to change medicine lacosamide and clobazam. Thank you.

Every medicine affects some organ systems. As they get metabolised or excreted or turn into active metabolite. Levetiracetam does not affect liver and is well tolerated but it does negatively affect kidney function.

Taenaisis is easily treated with praziquantel (5–10 mg/kg, single-administration) or niclosamide (adults and children over 6 years: 2 g, single-administration after a light breakfast, followed after 2 hours by a laxative.

I really need some advice or more better if help. Symptoms - fat deposition on my chest, waist, hips. Nipples look swollen up when body temp. Is hot and shrinks to normal when come in touch to cold things or in cold environment. It is happening from the time I ran into puberty but fat deposition started 2 years ago. But now its embarrassing. I use to have medical history of seizure disorder and its medication course was completed a year ago. Some thing I did't added previously. Doctors gave me sodium valporate 600 mg everyday. But due to overdose I got acute pancreatitis then they switch me to sodium dilantin 300 mg/day at night. This case is 6 year old. At that time it started. I consulted the doctor he said it will go away with time but it did not instead it increased but slowly. G - male Age - 20.

Fat deposition in breasts in men is a reported side effect, though rare, with some medications, which include phenytoin sodium. Weight gain in general is seen as a side effect with sodium valproate too. Anticonvulsants like phenytoin may at times cause alterations in male hormone levels too, that is the most probable explaination for your symptoms. Consult your treating physician and a endocrinologist if possible to get a thorough evaluation.
The commonest explaination could be also as simpl...more

Literature mentions that lamictal has drug interactions with: valproic acid, carbamazepine, phenytoin, primidone and olanzapine.
No hormones mentioned. All birth control tablets mainly have similar hormones.

Neurocysticercosis is the result of accidental ingestion of eggs of Taenia solium (ie, pork tapeworm), usually due to contamination of food by people with taeniasis. In developing countries, neurocysticercosis is the most common parasitic disease of the nervous system and is the main cause of acquired epilepsy. Symptomatic therapy is the mainstay of treatment for neurocysticercosis, as follows:
Anticonvulsants are prescribed to patients with seizures.
Specific anthelminthic therapy with ...more
