Epiba 5 MG Tablet is generally prescribed in combination with another drug. It essentially treats a particular kind of seizure disorder called Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). It can also be prescribed in the treatment of other problems as per the discretion of your doctor. The drug is a part of a class of medicines called benzodiazepine. Although how Epiba 5 MG Tablet particularly works is yet unknown, the general idea is that it controls the action of gamma-aminobutyric, which is a chemical released by the brain.
The drug should be taken orally, either with food or without. It has to be swallowed whole. In case you cannot consume Epiba 5 MG Tablet whole, mix it with apple sauce and swallow immediately. Ethinyl EstradiolThe desired effect of contraceptive pills will not be achieved if these medicines are used together. A nonhormonal form of contraceptive is recommended during and 28 days after Epiba 5 MG Tablet. OpoidsOpioids like morphine, codeine, tramadol, hydrocodone or any cough preparations containing these medicines should be avoided when you are on Epiba 5 MG Tablet or other benzodiazepines. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made if coadministration is needed and monitoring of sedation, breathlessness, and hypotension is necessary.
AntihypertensivesEpiba 5 MG Tablet may further lower the blood pressure when taken with antihypertensives. Inform the doctor if you are receiving these medicines.
