This looks like food allergy to diet in the previous night. Did you take prawns; shell fish sea fish etc. Lot of nonveg food especially cooked outside with coloring agents can cause this. Eat from home. Pain killers can cause skin swelling. But food is the first suspect.

I will personally suggest not to take deflazacort beacuse you seem to much worried about low dose weak steroid but for that I need to see your detail sonography report
why you are prescribed steroid at all please contact for further query.

Deflazacort is a steroid...
It suppress the symptoms for time being..
But as soon as it's action goes it come back..

But major concern is bad effects of steroids...
