My mother age 63. She is going through with chemo. From July. From 3rd of dec. She was facing small surgery of wound with pus after that day she was facing loose motion in ever 2 hours. She is taking soft diet and medicines like. redotil-100 mg, oz, vizylac, and isabgol with curd. But not relief. Doctor gastro says it's colitis and prescribe vancomycin -250 mg before left colonoscopy. What to do? It's safe. Is this medicine reliable?

I am 21 years old female under treatment for nausea ,vomiting, diarrhea from last 2 weeks. The prescribed medicine are metronidazole 400 mg 3 times, ciprofloxacin 500 mg 2 times, ranitidine 150 mg 2 times and Racecadotril (for 3 days 3 times a day), Ondansetron (3 times for 7 days). Now I am better with vomiting and diarrhea but I feel lot of gas inside my stomach unable to pass gas, only burps and sometime hiccups and I feel nausea/vomiting at night. My CBC, LFT ,KFT, Ultrasound test are normal. Ps - I have previous medical history, I am under treatment for my depression from the last 2 years. I am taking carbamazepine 200 mg two times a day and clonazepam 0.25 mg two times a day. Please tell me how much time it will take to recover. I am feeling very low just because of my nausea/ vomiting.

From a few days I was having complete loose motion. I consulted a MBBS doctor who suggested me brakke tablet along with a capsule named Cyra - D.I took them for 2-3 days but the symptoms were same loose stool just like water. Then I approached a MD doctor who gave me 3 medicines 1) Redotil 2) lactobacil plus 3) folic acid. I took those medicines for a day and now my stool has moved to semi solid phase but its not completely solid. I want to know how much time will it take for me to completely get cure cause I am suffering from the stress that I might have some cyst in my stomach or somewhere though I don't have any pain. I would also like to know the possible symptoms of having cyst in stomach spleen or somewhere in the digestive track.

Hi Take grahini gajendra ras with water twice a day...take chitrakadi vati 1-1 tab twice a day with warm water after lunch and dinner....avoid spicy food...fermented and junk food....avoid alcohol consumption....tea and coffee...take fresh butter milk empty stomach....

Hello my baby gal of 5 months was suffering from fever and loose stools so she went through a zenflox. Entroflora and redotil medicines for 8 days. She did not pass stool for 5 days and Now as soon as the course of medicines got over she started having. Loose green stools with white curd like substances. In 24 hours She passes 8 -10 watery stools when she is awake ànd next 12 hours she is fine. Baby looks fine and active has no fever and shows no sign of dehydration. Will the stool get fine on its own? Also can we give her ORS. Since she only breastfeeds and twice a day we feed her with zerolac.

No loose motion during sleep is suggestive that she has no pathological reason of loose motion. Stop top feed. Keep her on breast milk only. I think she may be alright on its own course.

I am aged 69 yrs. For last 2 to 3 days suddenly I am having nausea, vomiting 5 times along with loose motion 3 times. No urge to eat food. I have taken vibact ds bd, redotil tds, mahacef plus 100 bd for 2 days but relief is not significant. Still feeling nausea. Passing of stool now is very hard with stomach pain. I am very worried. I am on eltroxin 50 mcg for hypothyroidism. Apart from that taking medicine for bp (metoprolol 50 mg+amlodipine 5 mg) and teneligliptin 20 mg. Both bp and diabetes are under control bp-116/78 and hb1ac 5.5.may I request you for any advice sir for resolving the issue. Regards.

Hiccups since 7 days. Cough since 7 days. My dad went to shabarimala place where he climbed a hill of 7-8 kms, he is a cardiac patient and he is operated with stent 3 years back. He is diabetic since 8 yrs. After coming from shabarimala he had fever with chills and that day hiccups lasted for 1-2 hrs only. From next day he is having continuous hiccups. For which we consulted cardiologist and also gastroenterologist. They conducted all tests and all r normal. We have taken pantoprazole (other related drugs) and other drugs like sucralfate and baclofen for 3 days but no relief. So he had given perinorm oral evn then no relief. And for cough he was given clavam 625 and ascoril LS. Evn after 7 doses of clavam cough was subsiding. So pulmonologist changed the drug. He gave doxycycline (doxtyl) and deletus -D and also nebulization with levolin and budecort since 2 days. After starting doxycycline he had motions watery in consistency, for which he was given metrogyl 400 mg tid and redotil BD and sporlac tid. Not under standing wat to do.

Please Ask him to take deep inspiration, hold for few seconds, release slowly. Do it repeatedly, it will help to stop hiccups. Give Tab Dompan SR 5

Health Query

I have had two ultrasounds done within recent months for ovarian cysts and pelvic pain that I have been having. The first one showed that my endometrial lining was 9.8 mm in thickness and the one I had done a couple of weeks ago showed that it is at 3.9 mm. If it is so thin, will it affect my fertility? I am 39 years old and have never been pregnant but would like to get around to it soon. Is there anything that I can do to help the situation?

My wife is 58 years old. For the last 3 weeks she is suffering from diarrhea. Our family doctor prescribed ordent (ofloxacin + ornidazole). In fact diarrhoea aggravated. We went to a gastroenterologist. He prescribed rifaclean capsules. This also aggravated her diarrhoea. Needless to say everybody prescribed lot of probiotic medications to restore intestinal flora etc. I gave her imodium which always gives some relief because even the specialist cannot give proper antibiotic. This is now becoming serious. I gave her entire quinol to start with before even going to our family doctor. This medicine always used to work fine in the past. This time it failed. So we went to our family doctor as described above. When nothing works, we tried flagyl also. Nothing is working and now the status serious. Need urgent help. The stool reports acidic stool, mucous and some macrophages. She is mild diabetic much under control with metformin.

It is important to know if you are bottle feeding. Then stop bottle and give only breast milk to a 3 month old. Give enuff powder, 1 sachet dissolved in clean water twice a day. Keep in touch with me for regular advice on child rearing.
