Irregularity in taking antitubercular medicines make the bacteria become resistant to standard multi-drug regime. The best option in the treatment for any chronic illness is to find the doctor in whom one can trust and then follow his advise. If there is any problem during the treatment period, feedback should be given to the same doctor.

Hi lybrate-user,
thank you for your query. Cap duradox contains doxycycline only. The brands that you have mentioned contain doxycycline along with lacto bacillus. Antibiotic (doxycycline) use may upset the balance of good bacteria of the intestine. Lactobacillus helps restore that balance. In that sense, the combination is better.
However, it is advisable to consult a local dermatologist or take an online consultation before continuing with doxycycline. An assessment by a dermatologist ...more

Typhoid is usually transmitted by water or food, in much the same way as cholera. People who are infected excrete live bacteria in their feces and urine. They are usually contagious for a few days before any symptoms develop, so they don't know they need to take extra precautions. If they don't wash their hands properly, the typhoid bacillus can be transferred to food or water and from there to another person. Also, it can be spread directly from person to person via contaminated fingers.
