I am taking paroxetine CR 25 mg since 2 years and now as advised by my pscicatrist I have stopped it since 4 days. But now I am feeling very low erection in penis and very early discharge. Is it due to leaving paroxetine.

please continue to take paroxetine in the morning and cetirizine at night. Please inform your psychiatrist that you have cetirizine from. To.and the dose. Please also inform your doctor about paroxetine 25 mg. It will be easy for doctors to assess interaction of drugs and also the side effects of each drug affecting the disorders. My brother had been taking paroxetine cr 75 at night for last 2 years for the anxiety and ocd. Lately he complained that he feels emotional-less and less motivated. We contacted our doctor and he put him on duzela 20 mg in morning as well. My brother did well for next 2 weeks but he again developed motivation and numbness. 1. We got in touch to our doctor and he changed the timings of paroxetine only. He made it 37.5 mg once in morning and once at night.. 2. My brother actually improved and got his good emotions back by only tweaking with the timings of paroxetine. My question is, was the paroxetine dose too high that made him emotionally numb? Shall we further reduce the dosage of paroxetine if it can cause emotional numb-ness. Duzela is being continued as well. Kindly provide your useful insights in this issue. Thank you.

I have been taking paroxetine 75 mg plus olanzapine 2.5 at night. But recently I visited by doctor as I was not feeling good. My doctor tried a lot of antidepressants but none of those worked. Thus he increased the dosage to olanzapine to 5 mg and paroxetine to 100 mg (25 in morn. And 75 at night). I have started feeling better by god's grace. My query is - can I take total dose of paroxetine 100 mg at night? Or I necessarily need to take it in two doses of 25 +75. Thank you. Do not wish to go for therapy.

I am talking paroxetine 12.5 and zicam 0.25 per day from last one year, my doctor change the paroxetine tablet extended release to control release, than I feel headaches and blurred vision Is it tapering of dose or something else because strength of dose is same 12.5, please guide me.

I have been grappling with the problem of ocd and anxiety for last 5 years. I have been taking paroxetine 75 mg and olanzapine 5 mg. Actually I am not responding to antidepressants well, and my treating doctor wants me to shift to new maoi's..thus will the maoi's be able to manage ocd as like paroxetine? I have dysthymia as well. So is it worth switching to maoi? Will it be able to manage ocd thought? Thank you.

pharamcology (medicines) by themselves may not be sufficient for ocd and anxiety issues. Consider seeking cognitive behavior therapy from a clinical psychologist which would work directly on your behaviors and thoughts while the medicines work on your anxiety. Cbt is very efficacious for ocd and you will see good results.

We have already tried all ssri, bupropion and vilazodone as well lately. Can we add ssri such as zoloft, celexa and prozac with the paroxetine? Ps: just for informative purpose!

The patient is on paroxetine 75 mg in connection with anxiety and dysphoria. We need one more mood stabilizer to be used concomitantly with paroxetine. We wish to get an antidepressant which can increase the serotonin levels. Could you please suggest an ssri or any other drug whose mechanism of action is based on serotonin. Already tried vilazodone. Thank you.

What is the need for mood stabilizer, if the patient is maintaing well with single ssri?
Mood stabiliser is required if there is an inadequate response to adequate dose and duration of ssri.
If there is family history of bipolar disorder.
If there is ssri induced hypomanic episode.
If there is any evidence of bipolar depression better try lithium.
