Hi, many a times, when a skin lesion heals, it heals with a bit hyperpigmentation (dark areas) or hypopigmentation (light colored areas).
Mometasone used for a few days should not cause such a problem. For proper diagnosis and management of these patches, I suggest to consult a dermatologist online or offline.

the cream you mentioned is a steroid cream and it shouldnât be used by an individual unless advised by a dermatologist for the skin concern. If you have taken this cream from over the counter without any recommendation for another concerns, I advise you to stop it immediately. Steroid has got few long term adverse effects if not used as per advise. I suggest you use a skin regenerating cream and a sunscreen for 5 to 7 days. Use a mild cleanser.
