Dear lybrate-user,
first of all, you should know that only generic advice will be given with partial information. You have to take private consultation with the doctor. She/he will go through all your life history and investigate for few medical causes for your symptoms and then diagnose. After diagnosis, the treatment guidelines will be followed. Now the generic advice will be - 1. Valium is not the treatment for depression. 2. Antidepressants are the treatment 3. For shift workers melatoni...more

Well bedwetting also known as nocturnal enuresis is not uncommon in childhood due to immaturity of full urinary bladder which fails to send signal to brain to awaken the child.
Most cases have genetic predisposition (familial tendency).
Invariably the condition remits once the child grows up. It is uncommon to persist in adolescent age group.
What to do then?
it is first desirable to rule out any structural or functional anamoly of urinary tract.
Once ruled out then following...more

Many conditions are associated with hiccups, but none has been shown to be the cause of hiccups.
If a person eats too fast, he or she can swallow air along with food and end up with the hiccups.
Any other practices that might irritate the diaphragm such as eating too much (especially fatty foods) or drinking too much (alcohol or carbonated drinks) can make a person prone to having hiccups.

Hello lybrate-user. By the terms used in the question, it seems that you are someone from dental fraternity. In my opinion, firstly check for the following:
- tenderness in muscles of mastication - clicking of tmj and deviation/deflection of mouth on opening and closing
- any parafunctional habits
- any emotional stress that the patient might be going through
since it seems mostly due to muscular injury during extraction, I am suggesting the following line of treatment. Do contin...more

Dear ,
this is a common problem in children of both sexes. It could be that he has some defect in lumber spine like spina bifida or some adhesions. In majority of cases no organic defect is found either in vertebral column or spinal cord.
In most cases there is psychological problem or faulty habit. To decide what it is one wants to know about history like
1 did he have any dry nights at any stage of his life or from early childhood bedwetting continued?
2. When did it start?
