You can consume vegetables that are rich in iron eg spinach, drumstick, drumstick leaves, etc. Eggs are a good source and so is fish and meat. You need not have to worry about medicine. These will automatically increase your iron stores in you bod which will help in increasing the hb.

Hi, iron deficiency anemia can be well handled by diet. The best sources of iron are : Dark green leafy vegetables especially methi, sarson, spinach, jaggery (for non diabetic), apple, beetroot, pomegranate. Make sure you include one of these in every meal. Cook in iron utensil and drink lemon water or add lime to these prepartions to increase iron absorption.

Hello, First of all Take your Medicine Course regularly. Dietary sources for iron - Dates, Pomegranate, Spinach, Beetroot, Dry anjir, Almonds, all types of cereals etc. You can have Vit. C food in your diet as it enhances absorption of iron. So have Amla, Oranges, Nimbu in your diet. Follow Diet regularly. Check Your Haemoglobin after 3 months.

May not be as long as he stopped consuming iron. Iron toxicity is more of acute in nature and he must have just scrapped through. He must have been some 50 kg or more. Please check serum iron.
