I am 40 years female. I have stomach problems. Sometimes I suffer from loose motions. Whenever I take Probiotics or loperamide I suffer from severe nausea and gastritis. Then to stop gastritis I take pan 40 or rabeprazole. Gastritis goes but loose motion starts. I am into this vicious cycle for many days. There were some days where I am fine. But since 1 month when periods started I had severe acidity. I had taken pylokit as prescribed by Dr. last week. After 2/3 days I again had gastritis. Now Dr. prescribed rabemonic plus and rekool syrup. Now gastritis has gone but I suffer from gas foul smelling gases in the evenings and also loose motions. Please advise me something by which I don't suffer from gastritis as well as loose motions at the same time. What may be the reason for such problem that when acidity goes loose motions starts and when loose motions stops acidity starts. Please advise me a complete cure for my stomach problem.

Take tab flagyl 400 three times a day and tab rantac 150 morning empty stomach and before dinner for 5 days. Take tab meftal spas when you have stomachache. It will help. Thank you.

It's been three months now since I am facing this issue. Actually, I have been having loose motions continuously since three months. Whatever healthy I am eating, I am only getting loose motions. Only once or twice have I got normal stools in the last three months. The average frequency of these loose motions is about 3-4 times a day. And since 1 month, whenever I urinate, I paas very thin stool every time. The colour of the stool is normal yellow. The texture as I said is usually watery and when I urinate, the stool passed is very thin (not watery) at all. It looks a bit oily at that time as well. So far, I have had tablet loperamide, once in a day for 3 days, on a doctor's advice in the month of january. Since then, I have had ors, I eat one banana everyday but nothing is working. I bloat a lot even though I don't even eat much because of the fear of having another round of stool motion. My water intake is usually 2-3 litres in a day. Please suggest me what is the main concern you see here and why is it happening to me despite of not eating any junk food or unhealthy food item.

My wife aged 56 years is diabetic. She takes long term insulin (lantus) and other anti diabetic medicines. The diabetes is under control. About 3 months back, I got her blood test done in which lipid profile, kft, lft, tsh are normal. In the morning of 27th. July, she suddenly complained pain in stomach and thereafter she had several loose motions. (it is noteworthy that she had not eaten any food from market.) I gave her norflox tz, loperamide and electral. She also developed fever, so I gave paracetamol. I gave norflox tz in the evening also. By around 8 pm, loose motion was completely stopped. But mouth temperature 102 f continuing so I have been giving paracetamol every 4 hours. Fever has come down in the morning of 28th. July. My query is as to what medicine should be given to her now.

All medication to continue for 10 days. You have to have a 3 days complete afebrile period. Give her lots of fluids to take. Give her warm water to drink 4 times a day. Curd and banana are good for gastric immunity. Give her probiotics.

Hi, I am 40 year, Suffering from indigestion and loose stools 3-4 times a day since one month. I have gastric problem earlier, sometimes I feel heartburn and mild chest pain. Consulted doctor many times, suggested no issue with other disease than gastritis and and treated accordingly. But I am worried because of long time irritation in stomach, Some times I use to take eldoper to avoid this irritation, but someone suggested to take Apple Cider vinegar and Lemon juice with ginger and salt before each meal. Tried this for 1 week and I feel this is working a bit in avoiding Burp, heartburn and more watery stools. Stools reduced from 4 times to 2 times. But I feel food is not getting digested properly, its not healthier stool. So to avoid any complications in future, I need expert doctor's treatment and remedy. Please suggest something.

First stick to a vegetarian diet. Fix your time for breakfast, lunch & dinner. This should be a regular habit. You must take time out for exercise, either in the morning or in the evening. Start with alternate days, increase slowly & then go on to 5 to 6 days in a week. You can continue with lemon juice.
If you do not improve in 2 week's time; get back to me.

Hello Doctor, My Grandpa is suffering from severe constipation. He is using Anti Psychotic medications like Risperidone and Quetiapine for his audible hallucinations. Normal laxatives like Milk of Magnesia is not working for him now a days. When a more powerful laxative is given, he is experiencing uncontrolled diarrhea. To control this diarrhea, he is having eldoper drug. After two days, he is suffering again from constipation. His stomach is very rigid and rarely he is experiencing urinary retention problem and using Furosemide for relief. He suffering a lot from these stomach problems. Please see the below further details: Age: 85 years, Weight: 95 Kg Height: 5.6 Ft Current Medical problems: Hypertension, Constipation, Insomnia, Knee Pains, Audible Hallucinations, Occasionally Urinary retention. Current Medications: Qutan, Alprazolam, Acemiz-MR, Risdone, Telmikind-H, Zincovit, Occasionally Furosemide. Could you please suggest a long term solution for his constipation. Thanks

Eat a high-fiber diet. Get insoluble and soluble fiber. Limit foods that are high in fat. Choose lean meats. Incorporate probiotics into your diet. Eat on schedule. Stay hydrated.

I am suffering in chronic dysentery from more than 20 years ago. I have been moving to a number of doctors. My problem now is loose motion and several times I have to go to toilet in 24 hours. Sometimes only gas associated with some oil/ fat are going out. Fortunately I have found this website lately and a treatment is continued. I was suggested to take ORS to control loose motion. It is found OK. Also I was suggested to take ROKO capsule to control frequency of motion. But this capsule is not available in my place. Continue norflox. Take loperamide 2 mg for loose stools and discuss online for proper treatment or visit a gp.

Stop eating at uncertified eating houses or at roadside. Stop spicy food because your system is irritated by it. Do not take Loperamide routinely, it is not good. You may need a prescription for which you will have to consult privately.
