Hello Doctor, I am a 32 years female from Assam. Actually twice I have taken i-pill tablet this year (once in may and another in June). Since may I am having irregular periods, sometimes very heavy periods and this problem is was continuing till July. So I decided to visit a gynaecologist. He after examination, ultrasound, found out that I have ovarian cyst in left side and hormonal imbalance. So he prescribed me with some medicines like elata, novelon tablet, hello red. I started taking these medicines from August. My period started on 17th August. I could see the good result .My period was less and not heavy. I had taken novelon tablet from 17th August and it was finished on 6th September. I was told to give a gap of 7 days and so I did. But on 12th September, my period started. So by mistake, I had taken on 13th September two nos. Of novelon tablet and at the same time. Since then my periods has been continuing. I visited my doctor and he prescribed me with trapic-e tablet but that also did not work much. I have having brown bleeding since last 1 week. Please help me to know what can be the reason, shall I need to do any D&C test or shall I have to undergo operation for removal of uterus. Please help me .I am too very worried. How can I stop my brown bleeding tk come. I am still taking novelon and elata tablet.

The irregular bleeding is due to improper taking of I Pill and it will subside in a weeks . Doing D& C is fine and no need for removing uterus and it has ti be decided based on your age and other factors

I am 30 years female and from may'17 I have been suffering from irregular periods due to intake of ipill tablet. Every month since then I have twice/thrice periods. So I visited a gym. Doctor advised me to do ultrasound.in my report it was mentioned intramural myoma & small cyst in left ovary. He has asked me to take some medicines (cycloreg, gellored, tranostat) and asked me to visit him after 4 days after taking those tablets. Accordingly I visited him and then he told me that due to intake of ipill, I have hormonal imbalance. Again he has given me some new medicines - elata tablet, novelon tablet which is a oral contraceptive tablet. My question is I am not pregnant so why the doctor asked me to take novelon? Do patients of hormonal imbalance are given these tablets as part of their treatment? And I still feel some pain during intercourse. Why I feel the pain? Can't I do intercourse when I am suffering from this disease?

Ulipristal acetate (known as ella in the US and Ellaone in Europe) was approved as an ECP in Europe in early 2009 and in the US in August 2010. It works for up to 120 hours after intercourse.[6] It prevents pregnancy by delaying or inhibiting ovulation and inhibiting follicle rupture.[11] Watson Pharmaceuticals announced the availability of ella in the United States on December 1, 2010, in retail pharmacies, clinics and one online pharmacy, KwikMed.[12]

Emergency contraception, such as the morning-after pill (like plan b or ella), is generally considered safe for breastfeeding mothers. The hormones in these pills (levonorgestrel or ulipristal acetate) are not thought to have a significant impact on breast milk production or the health of the breastfeeding infant.
However, it's always advisable to consult with your healthcare provider before taking any medication, especially if you're breastfeeding. They can provide you with the most accurat...more

The tablet is a steroid and if you plan to continue this pregnancy you must stop it and as you had already taken steroid while foetus was forming, you check up and see if you can continue this pregnancy.
