You can have.
After taking the high hormonal emergency pill one gets withdrawal bleeding 5 to 10 days later, and then a new cycle starts.This means if taken near expected period date it gets delayed.

I am 25 years old female and have diagnosed with suggestive of fibroid of size 36mm35mm. After taking medicine Ulipristal Acetate Capsules Fibroplast for continuous 3 months daily (1 tablet per day at evening), the size reduces to 27mm24 Which is very less. Can you suggest on this? Hello the size has reduced definitely in response to ulipristal treatment and if you are asymptomatic as of now without any dysmenorrhoea or heavy menses and if the fibroid is subserosal then there is no need of further treatment and no surgery required.

I am a 29 year old female. I had unprotected sex on the 30th i.e. Yesterday. Took an i-pill thereafter. But before that for less than a month I had consumed Femilon ocp to avoid periods for a certain time. After I stopped, I started bleeding on the 21st of November. Kindly advise if I should take Ulipristal acetate or is the ecp enough to avoid getting pregnant.

I think ur using drug left and right without indication .1st of all ocps are never taken irregulaly because it causes hormonal imbalance and breakthrough bleeding 2ndly unipristal is used for fibroids it is not used for emergency contraceptive.if u don't want pregnancy take reg contraceptive

Although a majority of women taking a therapeutic dose of ulipristal acetate properly have anovulation, a non hormonal contraceptive method is recommended during treatment to avoid pregnancy as this can not be given in pregnancy.

I have a history of PCOs. Last menstrual cycle was of fifteen days abnormally. According to that I had coitus on 11th day. The condom firstly was inserted inverted but then inverted again immediately. I had Ulipristal Acetate one day after. Now I'm 10 days late with my periods. But there's a moderate cramping in lower abdomen and vulva for last 7 days. I had home pregnancy tests done on 12th, 14th,after 4 weeks of act of coitus and it came negative. What should I do? Can I be still pregnant?

As you have taken OCP within 24 hrs, so it gives 95% protection. U need to do urine Pregnancy test to be sure. It should be done 10 days after missing your period. For example if your date was 10th, then do the test on 20th. Before that it can give false negative or false positive test.

I have fibroids in uterus and I am currently taking ulipristal acetate for stopping that. Now I had unprotected sex and taken ipill in between 22 -26 hours after sex. What are the chances of getting pregnant and how will I know that I am not pregnant as my periods happened on aug 18 and after that there was no period as I was taking the medicine for fibroids. Should I stop using that till I get my periods and how many days after stopping the medicine will I get my periods just to confirm if I am not pregnant. Kindly help.

Please do urine pregnancy test or ultrasound to confirm .if you r not pregnant. No need to worry. Due to fibroid menstrual irregularities can occur.

Tab fibristal just reduces the size of fibroid and reduces the amount of bleeding. It will not have much effect on 12 cm fibroid as size is quite big. It will be better if you get your fibroid removed surgically.

Dear sir, I have fibroid size 11 cms. Gynec gave me medicine ulipristal acetate called" esmya" for 3 months (jan to march 2015) to stop blood supply & shrink fibroid and cure anemia hb was 5.5. My hb is now normal at 13. But not had my periods from february. Also the fibroid shrink only 1 cm. Now doctor wants to surgery" uterine artery embolization" which can cause reaction to procedure & permanently cause menopause. Big risk. I am 32 years, unmarried and want to have children. Please help.

You should undergo myomectomy as the fibroid is too big for medical treatment.
Embolization for you will be too risky as it will affect the whole uterus and may affect ovaries.Myomectomy will be best for you.

Hi i'm a pcod patient i'm having irregular period due to fibroids. I have been bleeding since 40 days with fluctuating flow. Have been taking ovral g for 4 months, ulipristal acetate for 4 days, trenaxa but I found all waste. It made me more sick by inner health, occurring pimples and most important nothing affected on my bleeding it never stopped. I'm really worried about my internal health and other organs as i'm unmarried and less fond of medical treatments. Allopathic doctors has suggested me dnc but i'm not finding it safe and not willing for it. Pls suggest me some homeopathy or other workable options with good expected results. As well as for my blood loss as i'm feeling drained and weak these days.
