I take ecosprin regularly as I had angioplasty on august 2014. At present having abdominal pain gas, nausiatic tendency ,loss of appetite. intake other pressure controlling medicines. Now ecosprin can't be rejected as per my cardiologist. I want to know whether these ecosprin, x-tor like medicines can be supplemented.

You can discuss with your Dr. and change to ecospirin-substitute called clopidogrel. You can stop xtor till your gas improves. Gas can also be treated with medicine. Suggest you discuss on phone for best results.

My Mother is being having persistent cough from more than 3 months. It is more of dry cough that occurs sometimes and during sleeping at night. She is diabetic and BP patient. She has no fever or fatigue. She has a recent like 2 months ago stent procedure for RCA Artery in forties Hospital. She takes ramipril 10 mg, cardivas 6.25 mg, ecosprin 150 mg, clopidogrel 75 mg, thryoxin 100 mg and Insulin daily. She has done Chest X-Ray which doctor says is normal.

I'm 22 years old and a medical student with a little sedentary lifestyle and bmi of 27 and was diagnosed with essential hypertension a month ago, my readings were 160/98 mm hg with the heart rate of 145 at that time (i can assure I was quite anxious while measurement.) echocardiography revealed mild rvoto and trivial tr which the cardiologist told me of being congenital and not life-threatening. Ecg revealed sinus tachycardia. Other reports ct angiography, usg abdomen, chest x-ray and all blood reports namely were normal, except ldl was borderline. I was on medication for a month with nebykare am (nebivolol and amlodipine) and clavilip (clopidogrel and atorvastatin). I monitored the bp at home daily and it was near normal every time. On follow-up, I was told that essential hypertension meds are lifelong which I don't intend to follow, although I know that lifestyle modifications may help me discontinue the medication gradually. I have no issues continuing nebycare am, but clavilip is causing me worry because I don't wanna take clopidogrel and atorvastatin if risks of side effects outweigh benefits. Can I please know your opinion about it, sir? Ps: my total cholesterol: 190 mg/dl, hdl: 58 mg/dl, ldl: 139 mg/dl. And my hb: 16.8 g/dl, platelet count: 392000/dl.

There is no indication for clavilip in your case. Continue anti htn though. Ldl doesn't mandate use of statins.

I had a mild stroke in May 2016. CT Scan was normal but MRI revealed cerebral and cerebellar atrophy besides small blockages in brain. Taking atorvastatin and Clopidogrel and Tetrafol plus and Baclof OD but almost no improvement though position is not worsening. Seek your opinion. Somebody talked of stem cell treatment. Can it be useful and safe? What will be approximate cost? What is the success rate? Or do you suggest any alternative treatment. I am 63 years old and no diabetes. Very mild BP and lipid profile normal. My father had also suffered from this ailment. Kindly advise.

Continue Atrovastatin, Clopidogrel and Aspirin. Those are standard medicines. Exercise everyday, maintain normal sugar.
No need for any alternative treatment.

I am a 50 year old male. In 2012, I was diagnosed with hypertension. I was prescribed to take Lodoz 5 mg, clopidogrel 75 mg in the morning, & Concor 5 mg Atorvastatin 10 mg in the night. My BP has become normal and I am continuing the medicines since then. I am afraid, these medicines could have adverse effects in the long run. Pl advise me on how to avoid side effects of the above medicines, without affecting my health issues. Are there any ways to keep the side effects of the aforementioned drugs. Pl suggest solution.

You need to understand about high blood pressure.

Hello I am 34 year old male suffered a heart attack on 9 th jan 2017 was done angiography in which clot was break down was having 45 % blockage. Now I am taking storvas trio 20 which has atorvastatin 20, aspirin 75 mg .clopidogrel 75 mg. Along with met xl 25 and nexsium 40 in morning. I want to know how long does this medicine work in body. I am always in fear wat if you got another heart attack will I be alive or not I keep my self busy in work but as soon as I get free things come in my mind please help me.

I'm (30), I have a doubt regarding some medicines especially for heart & brain strokes. I heard that every one should have life saving drugs in their pocket especially relating to heart, like aspirin 300 mg + clopidogrel 300 mg + atorvastatin 50 mg tablets with oneself to prevent heart attack of own / to help others. I also heard sorbitrate 15 mg + aspirin 300 mg combo to prevent heart attacks. My question is which among the above r good to carry with one self? Which are more effective among these two? Shall we use them for other stokes like brain strokes to prevent brain stroke or at least aspirin 300 mg for brain strokes? Please answer my queries.

You should not be giving medicines in such critical condition.
Every medicines have their indications and contraindications.
So better make sure to take the patient to a medical facility at the earliest instead of giving otc medicines.

Dear doctor, my father (53 years) is diabetic for around 30+years and recently suggested for ct coronary angiogram due to abnormal ecg and tmt positive. Results were mild atherosclerotic (lad mid segment 40% narrowing). He is now prescribed with atorvastatin 20 mg, clopidogrel 75 mg, carvedilol 10 mg, remmag 400 mg and ramcor 1.25 mg. He was already taking insulin with cresar 40 mg, glador, istamet and carvedilol. Now, dr's told him to take this new medicines for lifetime. Want to know, is this the only way? Can't he get rid of this cardiac medicines with better food, exercise and lifestyle changes? If he can stop these statins and clopilet, how long would it take. What is the right way to do that. Awaiting your valuable response.

I am 30 years old. Last August I had brain stroke on left side of brain (shown in MRI) and effected on my vision and Dr. Give me medicines clopidogrel 75 mg + aspirin 75 mg + atorvastatin 10 mg and neurabol capsules (for brain vitamins) and after 5 months Dr. stop aspirin and still taking all other medicines And i am not feeling well yet .still many times feel heaviness in my eyes and brain because brain clots are not removed properly. Why it is taking time to heal? And I have migraine and hair fall problem too So please suggest me good medicine for clots And how long I need to take medicines and how long time will it take to heal?

Good morning Mahesh , firstly get it confirmed from your doctor whether there was a bleed inside the brain or was there a less supply of blood to the brain and remember prognosis depends on the damage already been done and for hair fall- I will suggest you to wash your hair daily with sunsilk shampoo and apply parachute hair oil daily

Sir. I desire to reduce medication ie ATORVASTATIN 20 to 10 mg as my lipid profile is well under control as posted above. Do I need to continue with NITROFIX SR 30 after 16 months (April 2017) of PTCA/Angioplasty performed in my main LA with 90% blockage. PLAVIX, ecosprin 75 (METLOR 25 & olmesartan 20 for BP is being continued since past 8 years) are in continuation.
