The outcome is totally unpredictable.It varies from case to case .Most important is immediate stoppage of ethambutol. Rest are non-specific eg vitamins etc.

There is possible tb infection or another lung pathology. It's therefore required to first screen for tb in all hiv positive persons and then only take a decision on starting isoniazid prophylaxis. If fresh infection and initial treatment, Then better start with four drugs having rifampicin, etyhambutol, isoniazid and pyrazinamide as per weight for first 2 months and then drop pyrazinamide and continue rest for next 4 months. All drugs should be taken together empty stomach with water.

Dear Lybrateuser, you have not mentioned the duration of present ATT therapy.
Please note that TB treatment is a step wise therapy and despite best efforts some side effects like vomiting & loss of appetite occur at start of treatment.
You should have patience and please don't change / switch / alter TB medicines or their doses.
Kindly reconsult your doctor to solve this issue.
But in case the vomiting does not decrease, you can always have a second opinion from a Pulmonologist.<...more

Lymph node tb is a serious condition with a several months treatment plan. Antibiotics like isoniazid, rifampin, and ethambutol are prescribed by physicians. Oral steroids are also used to reduce the inflammation. In severe cases, surgery is also recommended to remove the large nodules around the neck.
