Hi lybrate-user, I understand that you are going through a depressive mood state. Duloxetine (duvanta) do works to alleviate depression but the dose at which you are taking it is not gonna help. In my opinion you need to increase the dose to 40 mg instantaneously and further increase to 60 mg per day in divided doses after next 3 days. Lets see how it goes and please let me know about progress after 2 weeks.

One kegel exercise consists of tightening and holding these muscles for 5 seconds and then releasing them. Try to do between 10 and 20 repetitions each day. This may not be possible when you first start doing the ex...more

Hi,
I cannot comment about the medical aspect of your question. You would have to seek a personal consultation with a Doctor for changing your medicine.
However, seeking counselling and therapy to address the root cause of your anxieties and resulting muscle tension will help you resolve the problem itself and reduce the need for medication. Very often we give undue weightage to our negative thoughts, fears and worries which makes it difficult to cope with daily life. Effective counselli...more

Dear lybrate-user Hello You will not be able to stop Symbal. It is antidepressant & until and unless you do not know the cause of depression in psychology and not assessed and not treated with addition of other therapies like ketamine therapy - psychotherapy - supportive therapy - hypno therapy, Rtms therapy etc. You will relapse. Talk to your psychiatrist about above therapies & If available take it and get rid of symbal. If not then come to us.

Yes you can take. But as you mentioned you have depression and soft mania. If you are diagnosed as bipolar disorder then generally ssris are not prescribed. Instead of duloxetine or escitalopram you can request your psychiatrist to consider quitipin instead.
