Asked for male, 28 years old from Delhi

Hi Doctor, My wife is pregnant with 13 weeks. Now she is facing head ache on every two three days. She is taking below medicine: Hcg inj. Twice in month during first trimester (5000iu) Proluton depot (250) every week during first trimester. Both injections course is completed. Other medicines are duvadilan retard daily. One folic acid tablet daily and doxinate of for nausea. Ultrasound scan at three month is good. Can you pl. Suggest for headache and other medicines if required. Dr. Has suggest injections as her earlier pregnancy was unsuccessful because of blighted ovum. Pl. Suggest for headache and other medicines if required. Thanks and regards.

I will suggest you to buy a steam inhaler machine of crescent company and Take a flow of steam (of plain water only) over the forehead through the inhaler and can repeat the process after eight hours as and when required and For headache take tablet paracetamol 500 mg.

Hi, diet at this time is normal. All home cooked foods along with fruits and salads, milk twice should be taken. Don't worry too much about the pain. Your gynecologist has already given you sufficient medicines. Just rest.

Hi, had a doppler test yesterday. Report says cephalic presentation, placenta fundo anterior, avg gest age is 31 weeks 4 days, Afi is less than 8.7 cm, cervix length is 28 mm. Maturity grade 2. Baby Wt. 1960gm. Doctor said that cervix length is short nd der z chance of preterm labour so she advised to take duvadilan retard 40 mg once in a day nd to sleep more with minimal activity. Are the figures in the report a matter of concern at this stage? Pls suggest wht can I do to avoid preterm labour. Is laying on bed sufficient or do I need to fall asleep? How can I improve my Afi.

Ivf treatment -- duvadilan retard 40 mg capsule- having this during 7th month of pregnancy will harmful to my baby after birth? (on 18th july will complete 7th months) my cervix length is 3.1 which is short as per my doctor so she suggested me totally bed rest! and quit my current job. Also suggested "proluton depot 500 inj" once in a week. I am taking "lonopin 40 mg inj" on an alternate basis since last 2-3 months. Will this medicine or injection harmful to my baby inside the womb or after birth?

Hey, i’m 32 weeks pregnant. I’m experiencing sharp pain in my vagina and lower abdomen. I’m also feeling tightness in my tummy (contractions) i’ve a regular low back pain and hip pain. It takes so much effort to even walk a short distance. My doctor suggested duvadilan retard 40 mg twice a day and bed rest. My baby weight is 1.6 kg which is quite less according to her is it ok to take it? Should I take complete bed rest?

may be you r having some false labour pains. With duvadilon you will feel good. No pain will persist.
For your baby point of u.u need to increase protein diet with argipreg sachet twice daily.
After 15 days go for color doppler sonography to rule out any growth retardation.

Duvadilan tablet is to be taken only if you have preterm labour pain and can only be prescribed by a doctor. Donât take it long term if not needed. Low molecular weight heparin can be taken along with it, if prescribed.

My Dr. gave me duvadilan retard tabs while I was heading 38 weeks of pregnancy after doing a pv exam saying that my baby was lil transverse so take this tabs for 10 days to relax your uterus & so the baby will get enough space to move & wl come to the correct position. Also I was advised to take complete rest for 10 days. I took this as prescribed. Till my due date come n go I had no labor symptoms nd no pain. Dr. gave pitocin injection through iv for some hrs but as no pain nd dilation, stopped iv line and told to walk till night and gave another injection on my side stating it’s for opening uterus. Next morning also no pain nd ended up having c-section. Did I get correct treatment? Was this to delay labor as I had full chances of normal delivery? Was this to relax my contractions nd pain and relax my uterus for section?
