You can get fresh evaluation of his uroflowmetry and usg kub with pvr, with serum psa. If he is voiding well with urimax d, he may omit the "d" (dutasteride) part of the medication, and only continue with urimax, it is relatively safe. His urine voiding problem might return if he stops using urimax.

F stands for finasteride which blocks conversion of testosterone hormone to dihydrotestestorone (dht) which helps in growth of prostrate
psa is a market for prostrate cancer
when finasteride or dutasteride are used they decrease psa level spuriously and masks the ongoing prostate cancer so before using finast one has to check a baseline psa.

You have been prescribed a combination of tamsulosin and dutasteride for a prostate size of 33 grams, if you feel that your are passing urine satisfactorily then visit your urologist and get a uroflowmetry and an ultrasound kub with post void residual urine check done, if your urologist finds the results satisfactory then he may start you on plain tamsulosin.

Tamdura Capsule PR is a combination of two medicines: Tamsulosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.

Enlarged prostate does not 'shrink' away with tamlocept. It only helps in easing passage of urine. Stopping it will most likely lead to symptom recurrence, as has occured in your case.
Consult urologist. Get at least uroflometry and uss kubp done before restarting medicine.

No it’s bph. Which is age related. Nothing to worry. But you have not mentioned symptoms. Moreover bph is not the cause of back pain. They are both different issues. Homeopathy is a very effective for this problem n has very encouraging results. And homeopathic medicines are safe and do not have any side effects at all.
