An anti-tetanus serum is not required in routine injuries. It is only recommended in an intensively crushed and dirty wound, in which case it is given within the first six hours after the injury. A routine tetanus toxoid is also not necessary if one is previously fully immunised. In case one is not, then the toxoid is administered within the first 24 hours after the injury.

No need to get worried, tdap contains tetanus toxoid and diphtheria and acellular pertussis whereas dpt contains diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis protein, no harm would happen with acellular pertussis.

Hello,
tetanus toxoid is given intramuscularly (im), can be given in the upper arm muscle's muscle's insertion or in the thigh muscles. Better not to take risk and visit a nearby doctor who would hardly charge few bucks from you.
