After changing medical treatment for glaucoma, it is recommended to u an eye pressure checked after 3-4 weeks to ensure IOP is less than target eye pressure.

Blurred vision could be due to advanced glaucoma, uncorrected refractive error, development of cataract or simply dry eye or unhealthy ocular surface or allergies.

Add a tear substitute...If it does not help revisit ur treating eye doctor.

Hi,
Glaucoma needs continuous long term followup. You may need one or more eye drops added to timolol, or be prescribed a replacement for it. Any eye drop prescribed, needs to be reviewed for the required efficacy (desired result achieved in you or not) and for any unwanted side effects.

Action is the same. Medicine/ drug is different. I'm sure your ophthalmologist has changed it for a reason. Ask him in case of any doubts.

Yes, beta blockers like timolol can drop the blood pressure profoundly, and even cause fainting from low blood pressure and slow heart rate ( bradycardia ). Beta blockers should be avoided in people with chronically low blood pressure.

The timolol eye drops for glaucoma decrease heart rate but will not cause heart block or bradycardia in normal subjects.

No glaucoma is a separate entity & is unrelated to myocardial infarction. Cerrtainly, you would be requiring topical drugs to keep your intraocular pressure at a desired range.
