Get him tested for dengue. Meanwhile hydration is most important. Pulse and blood pressure must be maintained. If its mild dengue, iv fluids are not required if the person is able to eat and drink. Cbc should be checked daily. Oral paracetamol can be given 4 times daily to control fever. Fever should be controlled with paracetamol and sponging. If pulse or blood pressure drop even a bit, you must get him admitted. As fever reduces, watch out for the following in which case you must admit him

Hello Mr. lybrate-user. Ideally we need more information before prescribing any medicine in such case (how many days fever, any other symptoms or not etc). For now- paracetamol syrup for fever and bandy plus syrup 10 ml once at night. You should get some tests done- cbc with esr, iron studies, crp. Consult me if you have any further queries.

Hi lybrate-user
it's quite long time before you had a foot drop and still not recovered. Recovery chances depends on your nerve. Need to take a nerve conduction study. And then you need to see based on the report findings if there are any changes of recovery or not.
For more precise details contact us. Regards.
