Dear lybrate-user, I can understand. You must understand the difference between ALCOHOL ADDICTION and abuse. You can definitely quit alcohol in one go. Just stop it and swear not to drink again. Engage yourself in games and other engaging activities during evenings or when you feel the urge. Just a week, your habit should change. There are many other methods, which you can see through internet. The best method is what I suggested. Please try it without fail. Take care.

It can also happen during alcohol intoxication though it is rare. It is in your best interest if you take him to a addiction psychiatrist who will opine the best regarding his condition and management. In the mean time continue librium and decrease the dose of anxilor-2 to half and ...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Disulfuram should always be used under the supervision or guidance of a doctor. Because it can produce a variety of serious side effects. Plus the person should not be taking alcohol during the treatment with that drug. Even preparations containing small quantity of alcohol like cough syrups should be avoided. Therefore, unless you consult your local doctor please do not give this drug. Thanks.
