Hello I have newborn baby girl just few days old. She has cold n cough my doc prescribed kufril la drop and drop distaclor for 5 days. After 5 days she still has cold can I give her kufril drop again I also have febrex drop which one is better n can it has side effect to use again after 5 days?

Kufril LS Syrup is used for Cough, Chest congestion, Thickened mucus cough, Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion, Asthma, Constriction of airways, Colds, Acute sore throat, Lungs inflammation and other conditions.
Febrex is only for fever . You can use cufril

Health Query

My daughter 4.5 years old had fever of 102.7 for 3 days then followed by fever of 100.7 for 4 days accompanied with cough. Initially it was mild but now it's quite bad. My question is how long will this fever last. Doc had prescribed distaclor and calpol with metal p and coriminic. Should I change the antibiotic. Please reply.

The boil must have been infective which is causing fever. You should complete the course of prescribed antibiotic which would help in subsiding the infection.

My 4 year old daughter has colds and cough. After 2 weeks my pedia gave her cefaclor for 7 days. After 7 days her cough does not go away, mostly dry cough during the night. No fever. For 2 weeks shes been taking cetirizine as well. What am I gonna do? What medicine should I give her? Thank you. We cannot go at the clinic as of the moment because of the threat of cavity19. Children tend to suffer from viral Bronchiolitis.
Most of the cases require hydration and mucolytics,unless complicated.
Frequent antibiotics in children. Lead to stunted growth, discoloration of teeth and resistance to antibiotics.

Hi, my wife got fever, so when consulted to doctor and had urine test, found she had urine infection so doctor suggested some medicines (UTIKIT - probiotic and probiotic capsules and Cefakind 250). Doctor also advised to get urine test done for me to see if there is any infection, so I had too done the urine test but my doctor is unavailable and out of station for 2 weeks. So I am posting the report details here, so please check and suggest me if I too had any infection and if so please suggest what to do. Report Result: Specimen: Urine Smear Report (Gram Strain): 3-5 pus cells, 1-2 epithelial cells and Gram negative Bacilli were seen. Isolate - 1: klebsiella oxytoca COLONY COUNT: >1, 00, 000/ml ANTIBIOTIC SENSITIVITY Highly Sensitive to: Amikacin, Aztreonam, Cefepime, Cefotoxime, Ceftazidime, Ceftriaxone, Cefuroxime, Gentamicin, Imipenem, Levofloxacin, Netillin, piperacillin/Tazobactam. Going by the reports, you need to treat both simultaneously and avoid coitus till future samples from both of you show no growth on culture. Treatment from your physician with a drug from the most sensitive to antibiotic group for sufficient duration is mandatory.
