Divalproex sodium is used to treat certain types of seizures (epilepsy). This medicine is an anticonvulsant that works in the brain tissue to stop seizures. Divalproex sodium is also used to treat the manic phase of bipolar disorder (manic-depressive illness), and helps prevent migraine headaches.

It is used to treat seizure, it depends on how frequent episodes and what type of seizure you have, I advice not to stop without your doctor's advice, usually these type of drugs stopped by gradually decreasing the dose.

Valuation does not have that action but stress due to examination can have that action. Also patients suffering from neurological issues are known to have stress which can reduce attention span and concentration abilities. Try practising techniques like yoga and pranayama etc. It might help you to regain the concentration needed for studies.
