One doctor provide me endoreg 2 mg tab for 3 cm chocolate cyst taken for 2 months and another doctor provide me femilon for 6 months starting from period till 21 day and continue it with 6 months which medicine is helpful for 3 cm cyst?

Hi Sir/Ma'am. I am 29 years old, I am suffering form endometriosis cyst in right ovary approx 6 cm in size .I m taking endoreg 2 mg tablet from 1 months (24/03/2018). As doctor told me after taking this medicine you not will have periods. But I am having bleeding and clotting from 8-9 day as per my period date (22/03/2018) till date. Please Suggest.

Hi Endoreg is a good medication for controlling symptoms of endometriosis. Be regular with it and periods are likely to reduce with time may be 2-3 months. If they do not get back for further advise.

I am 43 years female I was having periods since feb 2015 some time continuously for 20 days, then gap for one week then start heavy bleeding with clots then stop after one or two days again start after one or two days with sever pain, this is going on since feb. I consulted a doctor he advised dienogest tablet 1/ day, where ultrasound shows nothing unusual except bulky in size uterus, suggest me what can be the cause of this bleeding is it some serious problem? or some other test are required? should I keep on taking dienogest tablet? is it a suitable medicine? or it has some side effect?

Hi I am 30 years old and had ovarian cyst for which I am taking dienogest 2 mg medicine since 2 weeks but before that I was taking "visanne" now as I am taking dienogest, I am having severe headache and also if I walk little bit or just take evening walk. I feel very much pain in my abdomen and bleeding which is very uncomfortable and painful. I want to know why such bleeding/pain whereas earlier when I was taking "visanne" there was no such pain. Any suggestion ma'am or any local expert gynaecologist you recommend in bangalore. please help me. I am taking dolo nxt dt as pain killer. Doc also recommended enzoflam.

Hi lybrate-user. Visanne or dienogest are same composition and dose. So I don't think there's much difference regarding the tablets. But I want to know the size of the cyst, your last period date and when did you start taking visanne all these details. Please send me the reports and your details so that I can give treatment accordingly.

I am 37 years old and 2 months before I started bleeding heavily. As I had done my ultrasound which shows fibroid, chocolate cyst and also thick endometrium .my doctor suggested me to take dienogest 2 mg once a day. With in 2 days my heavy bleeding stopped than after a week it again start and with in a week it stopped than after 2 weeks it start and it remains for a month and it is still there its not getting stop what should I do I am taking dienogest regularly only for a day one time I had taken a pill of regestrone 5 mg tablet. By myself what should I do I am very much worried someone pls answer.

Hi. I'm suffering from ovarian cyst and i'm taking dienofem (dienogest) tablets. Along with some other tablets. Till now I didn't get my periods. When I checked for pregnancy it's negative. Now i'm taking regestrone since 4 days. Till date I didn't get periods. Yesterday when I got myself scanned my cyst is still there. It's now 6cm. Need help. Heard that acupuncture permanently resolves this issue. I'm 33 years married women.

I am 23 years old. Female, I got married 2016. I have chocolate cyst in my both ovaries.in ultrasound 2016 dec- R.O- 3.4 X 2.8 cms,L.O- 2.7x2.1 cms. 2017 may-R.O-3.0x2.2 cms, L.O-3.1x2.1 cms. After taking T. Dienogest tablet for 3 months my cyst measurement is R. O-2.4x1.5 cms, L.O - 2.2x1.9.we are trying for baby. This cyst may cause any serious problem to get pregnant.

Chocolate cyst suggests that you may endometriosis. This condition can cause problems in functioning of fallopian tubes poor egg quality and other hormonal imbalances. Do a laparoscopy after some time if you are unable to conceive. Taking medicines just to make the cyst smaller has no benefit and would act as a contraceptive so not recommended while you r trying to conceive.
