Helo sir ,I have anal fissure from 26 days and doctor prescribed (diltiazem ointment) but when I went to purchase the shopkeeper gave me (Diltigesic organogel) .Sir I want to know weather these two medicine are same or different and if same can I apply (Diltigesic) inside the rectum because he has asked me to apply the ointment inside the rectum.

Diltigesic is same as diltiazem. Apply it outside after taking sitz bath i.e. Hot water fomentation.

Hello, My mother is having thyroid and blood anemia due to which her HB remains low. She is taking daily one dilzem tablet for heart beat function control and one thyroxine early morning as advice by doctor . Now recently she got some severe teeth pain and dentist advice her for root canal treatment of that teeth. As per HB test conducted today her hemoglobin is only 4.5. Request your advice whether we can go ahead with root canal treatment for teeth or should wait for HB to be little normal. Is there any risk to undergo root canal treatment at present position. Dentist told to consult physician and take advice to go ahead. Hence request your advice. My mother is 52 years old. Thanks!

Lybrate-user, root canal treatment (rct) is a surgical procedure, so it is better that before any such procedure blood picture improves. In fact hb 4.5g/100 ml, is too low. It may need packed cell (rbcs) transfusion. Or else should immediately start on iron preparations either capsules or if needed then injections. 1. I have high panic issues with a fear of death. Mom passed away in her third heart attack. 2. I have palpitations and short breath issues (mostly if exited or scared or working hard like stressed out asthma) 3. Echo, ecg, stress test came out normal in 2018 however Holter monitoring test informed, my heart stopped for 2.98msec when I was sleeping and mostly I have bradycardia so the doctor suggested mri enabled pacemaker 4. But when I did the holter machine test, I was on alrax 0.25 and dilzem to reduce my heart beat so that they could do ct scan angiogram (would it effect my heart beat) height: 6 ft. Weight: 86 kgs, nonsmoker, non-alcoholic, sedentary night shift lifestyle and stay alone please advise.

Thanks doctor, but consulting a psychiatrist won't help. My main fear is that do we actually have n fowleri amoeba present in water bodies in india, especially underground water. Next can one simply get it my washing face or mere sniffing in a drop while bathing as I found such a concern on quora. My main concern is that even if present in a water body can it go so easily in sinus cavity or one has to force it up like by cleansing sinus, aggressively breathing in or diving/swimming. I had read somewhere that azithromycin is also used to treat it and since once symptoms of pam appear, it is nearly always fatal, I worry using the underground water now, and take the tablets. So does it actually help or I am risking myself for side effects unnecessarily as I also take dilzem cd 120 for hypertension. I know self medication is bad and do not want to take it unless prescribed too. Please just let me know in which situation can the amoeba enter the brain or pose a threat or if in india we don't have this amoeba present in underground water usually as so many people use nal, jet pumps. I had many paid and non paid consultations, I just got a no, it us not caused like that and it is not common in india. Just a bit elaborate reassurance from an experienced doctor will help. And I won't ask queries about this topic again then.

I am 31 years old and suffering from fissure. It has taken a lot of time now to get healed completely. Over the period the pain has reduced, but its not cured still. I am doing sitz bath and using diltiazem 2% gel (Diltigesic) cream, but it causes severe itching near anal area. Currently I have got a small haemorrhoid at the rectum but it will not pain. I am suffering from severe pain while passing stools only. Request you to please suggest a treatment or another gel for quick cure.

Usually fissure in ano occurs posteriorly but if it occurs anteriorly then other causes like TB, crohn's disease etc has to be thought about. Or rarely maybe a fissure which has come anteriorly without any of these issues. So evaluation for TB also has to be performed .or take usual treatment for fissure like dilzem ointment three to four times per day.

My age 35, male. I have anal fissure problem since two months. I have used pilex tab & pilex forte ointment, but not cured anal fissure. My anal muscles (sphincter) very tight & outside anal muscles swelling there. Swelling not decreasing. Pain while going to washroom. How can I relax anal muscles (sphincter) (means loose anal muscles) present I am in africa. I have ointment cream gel (diltiazem hydrochloride 2 % w/w) escot cream (nifedipine & lidocaine cream) diltigesic organogel (diltiazem 2 % organogel) in this above ointment cream, which one relax anal (sphincter) muscles & reduce swelling how can I use this cream, can I put cream only outside anal muscles or even inside anal area can I put within how many days, can I cure swelling & relax anal muscles please answer fast thanks & regards waiting for your reply.

Hello... nefedipine + lidocaine combo is good..
use it thrice a day. Apply it all around with your finger and also push a bit inside with your finger. Do warm sits baths for 10 minutes before applying it.
Also avoid constipation..

45 days ago my mom was suffering from high blood pressure and long period knee pain issue, she is also suffering from thyroid and blood sugar issue. Within 45 days she got a wound in her armpit. When we consult doctor they told us all issues from that wound, they referred to another wound specialist. 1 day before operation her sugar down to 25 to 30. Then a sugar recovered in icu and again told to remove wound first, so we visit referred hospital where a big operation is done within her breast and armpit. We have gone through MRI and get some Neuro doctor's doc take whole spinal, limbs mri and ncv test something like ECG and told us on mri her waist clearly showing twisted but that is from 6-7 years ago, they also told some white substances in her spinal which may be bacterial or tuberculosis infections, my mom is taking aayurved medicine for recovering paralysis effects also taking Neuro medicine Etocox 120 - 1 time Icon-od - 1 time Rb _DSR -1 time Tryptomer 8 mg Also one injection of depomedrol 80 mg one day nitro 2.6 - 2 times ranolz 500 - 1 time dilzem 30 - 2 time ondem 4 - 2 time 1 hr before meal eltroxin 100 mg - 1 time before taking food in morning Mom thinks she is getting better slowly by ayurveda but reality is that she is taking ayurveda from 20 days but condition not improve she walks 2 month before common but now after operation complete she can walk 3 trip a room by Walker, also she feels spasm all time and pain continue until she take ultracet. - 1 time myodril 8 mg - 1 time Suggested by an ortho doctors My problem is don't know how much time she will take many types of medicine and when this pain end for us. Please help sir.
