I assume that he has been seen by a Psychiatrist considering the medication he is on. If he did not have anger issues before starting medication then please meet the consultant immediately. However if he had anger issues even before starting these medicines, give some time for the medicines to start their action (usually a week or two).

It seems with the above set of medications your depression is not under control, kindly discuss other options and medications with your psychiatrist. Some newer ones have come. If not possible get a second opinion and follow for 3 months and see of it is any better. Good luck.

Judging by the medicines you mentioned, you might had bipolar disorder. After 2 months of stopping medication, no 'withdrawal' would be there. But, there is risk of recurrence of bipolar disorder, that is - depression, mania, or hypomania.

Mood swings can be of genetical or psychological origin. You need to determine this. Has he gone through any stress that he couldn' t deal with? you can also try counselling for mood swings which is" talk therapy" where the counsellor will try to understand what' s happening in his life and what are his worries and stress. Ayurveda is another alternative that you can try out. What cannot be found in scans, can be diagnosed by pulse diagnosis. For counselling please click on private chat.
