Would suggest you to opt for cbt, cognitive behaviour therapy. Medicines will reduce the symptoms but you still need to learn to challenge your negative thoughts which are the root cause of your depression and anxiety.

The medication you are taking for bipolar is one of the best medications for this disorder. However, a thorough evaluation and review of illness history and treatment records will be needed to comment on the duration of treatment. There are alternative medicines available, but the need for them can only be determined after examination. Additionally, considering that the medication is being consumed for a long time, it will be advisable to get certain blood tests to rule out common adverse effect...more

Hello Friend, Good day.. I can understand your concern. Be aware that any emotional disturbance like anxiety or stress can affect the physical body as well, because body and mind are closely interconnected.
So while you take medicine, it's important to identify the root cause behind your anxious or negative thoughts.
It could be due to any personal issues or relationship issues or career or job tension or financial problems or health issues.
It's important to find the root cau...more

I am suffering from dore and choked throat since friday evening, 25.1.19. I have been doing gargles with lukewarm water mixed with disprin 3 to 4 times a day. I am constantly saving myself from cold by covering myself from head to toe in warm clothes. Using home remedies like drinking lukewarm water mixed with honey. But problem still persists though little better. Greenish cough comes out occasionally. My Dr. Has prescribed coldaid 500 mg thrice daily. I am already under medication for bipolar disorder (medicines include lamitor od 150, dicorate 500 mg in eve, dicorate 250 mg in mng). I am also undergoing treatment for hiatus hernia, ibs. Medicines include colospa x, ib set, pan it. I have read online that coldaid 500 may interfere with aforesaid medications. Please advise whether it's safe to take coldaid 500 mg or not. If yes, how long should I take it for my sore and choked throat? If not, which alternative medicine should I take, taking into account my ongoing medications?

Developed signs of early morning wakening with a feeling of heavy heart in 2014. Ignored for a year or so. Then the problem started worsening with more heavy heart with loud pounding beats very early in the morning. Then I failed depressed or sad/ worried during day time also at times. Consulted a psychiatrist in 4/2014 who prescribed cipralex. After 4 months he added lamitor 100. Felt some improvement gor 3/4 months and stopped cipralex of my own. The state of depression recurred back and went on to lamitor 200 but no improvement. In november 2017 consulted another psychiatrist who changed the medicine and prescribed paroxetine12. 5, divalproex 250 and mirtazapine15. Felt improvement after few days. Stopped divalproex after 3 months. Then tapered paroxetine and finally stopped in april 2018. I was feeling good now. But unfortunately the condition hit back in early august this year. Now I have started paroxetine 12.5 with clonazepam .5 and continued mirtazapine15. Though I have again felt some relief but I always wake up with heavy heart and worried. During day time also I get sad or anxious at times. please suggest. Further I have elevated Triglyceride level about 500 which I heard is due to mirtazapine. Is there any alternative for that. I am also hypertensive taking amlodipine5 from last 6 years.
