Acetazolamide (Brand Name: Diamox) is a "water pill" (diuretic) used to prevent and reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness. Acetazolamide is also used with other medications to treat a certain type of eye problem (open-angle glaucoma). Acetazolamide is available in generic form.

Your wife's problem should be solved by team of senior doctor's in the Departments of Neurology, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Hematology,
Psychiatry.
We should think from all angles. Continue in JIPMER hospital.
In the mean time, let her do, yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, as instructed by yoga therapist.
Let her reduce salt, go for walks, listen to music. If she is obese, let her reduce weight. These will help in Tension headache. Check BP daily for 1 week.

It is important to inform the doctor about the same. Let the doctor who is treating her ( diagnosis not mentioned by you ) assess her health after a check-up so that proper medical treatment can be given. This will ensure that the patient and the doctor knows about drug allergies so that in future proper caution can be taken.
