Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. With HbA1c% 9.4 % it is clear that your blood glucose is not at all well controlled. Ideally in a well controlled person fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer t 100 mg, PP 150 to 180 mg & HbA1c% < 7%.
It means there is a need to give a closer look at your diet and exercise. Because you are already on quite a few drugs including Insulin. There is a need to restrict the dietary intake and also increase extent of daily ex...more

For dealing with your current problem you have to take plenty of water, coconut water, butter milk, soups etc healthy drinks. For diabetes, you have to take more fibre in the form of raw veg as salads, sprouts, whole grains, legumes and not dals, 1 fist of dry fruits.

In ayurveda its called kashtsaadhya. You have to continue taking medicine to manage levels of sugar. The only difference between ayurvedic herbs and allopathic is that with former you will not get any side effects like neuropathy, retinopathy etc and if acquired already, it will start receding in 6-8 weeks.
But you can't stop allopathy atonce. May gradually increase herbals and reduce allopathic. Initially parallels will have to be taken. Constant monitoring will educate you at what level ba...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Tab Galvusmet (50/500) is definitely a good combination medicine. However, if adequate control is not achieved then there is most likely a need for some add on treatment. Since there is no mention about blood glucose levels, exercise, diet etc, there in no way to give any suggestion or give any comment. Plus in this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines, no prescriptions. If you come in a private conversation with all above details I will definitely be a...more

You need to have patience and wait for the body to adjust to the medicines. Please do not simply depend on medications to reduce the sugar levels. You need to change your lifestyle. Adapt a healthy lifestyle. Please exercise everyday for a few minutes to begin with, and slowly increase the duration and intensity. You can also learn Yoga and pranayam which are safe and effective to bring harmony and natural balance in health. Eat only healhty food (avoid all junk food and outside beverages ). Inc...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Usually when treatment is on for a number of years, there is a possibility of some increase in HbA1c%, mainly because you are on same drug for a long time. You have not mentioned recent Fasting & PP levels, those also do give an idea. There apears to be a need for either increasing the dosage or ading another compound for better control Thanks.
