Yes it can be taken. But first get yourself evaluated for the reason for your hand pain. 6 months is a long period and a patient especially diabetic should not ignore such symptoms.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
From the details given it is clear that present treatment is not at all helping in controlling blood glucose. There is a need for up grading the present treatment, plus there is a need to give a close look at your diet and extent of exercise being done. In a well controlled diabetes fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.8%. You not mentioned anything about hba1c%. Thank you for your enquiry.
That's ok. But your information is incomplete. Also you didn't mention your current blood sugars after changing medication.
Additionally I would like to advise you to do serum insulin and c peptide level for better understanding of your condition and so that I can advise you better. Do let me know more details.
For any further information or advice you can book an online consultation with me on Lybrate. Thank you. Take care.

Homoeopathy can be used effectively in the treatment of diabetes. Here we mainly concentrate on functioning of the pancreas in efficient insulin production. Medicines such as Helonias 200, Iodum 200, Syzygium Jambolanum θ (Mother Tincture) are used by us effectively in the treatment of all the stages of the diseases.
