Why are you taking these medicines. Dexona is a steroid. Regular uses of it leads to Stomach upset, headache, dizziness, trouble sleeping. Increased appetite or weight gain also takes place. If you are using this for weight gain this is not good. Similarly Practin is also used for increasing weight & appetite. But regular use leads to Drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, constipation, or dry mouth/nose/throat. So don't use the drug regularly.

Kindly avoid taking medicines without a proper prescription. (especially steroids / antibiotics and painkillers should be taken only after the doctor's advise ). Ideally one should go for check up with the doctor who can physically examine and try to assess the problem and give appropriate treatment accordingly.

Dear Jitendra,
Dexona is dexamethasone, i think. It is NOT a drug for alcohol dependence. But alcohol dependent person like your father, may be having many other illness that may be treated with dexamethasone.
