Hello Dr. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Planning for c section at 36 weeks. So my Dr. advised to take 6 mg dexamethasone inj 4 doses 12 hours apart. But by mistake nurse has given 12 mg in the first dose and after 12 hours 6 mg given. So total dose 18 mg injected in one day. Is there any side effect with this.

24 mg is the ideal dose of dexamethasone to be administered. 12 mg each dose. U require 6 mg more.

I am 25 and was diagnosed of uti and was given injection and same antibiotics, I feel pains at my back, neck, waist, pelvic, upset stomach and also weakness in my body especially at my right side and also blurred vision. Any help. I took dexamethasone before I was later diagnosed of uti. I have reduced weight too. Please any strong medicine that can reverse all this tins gain weight fast.

I had covid in recent past. Now I am doing well but due to allergies, I had got sinusitis which is also fine now. Now I am having some little eye redness and no other symptoms. You received enough treatment for ringworm. Better to consult a dermatologist. In place of itraconazole, terbinafine can be taken with proper investigations and follow up. Keep the area dry, clean and maintain hygiene.

Health Query

My ent said that both of my ears have fungal infection. That's why she prescribed ciprofloxacin dexamethasone otic drops mixed with 10 drops of clotrimazole 1% topical solution drops, 3 times a day for 2 weeks. However, our local drug store can't mix the 2 drugs together. Is there any way I can administer these drugs in my ears without mixing it and can you tell me how?
