Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
It is difficult to understand why one would take Dexona (dexamethasone) tablets for weight increase. It is strong corticosteroid. Plus Cyproheptadin 4 mg, is also absolutely useless for weight increase. Since there is no mention about height and weight, I can hardly comment. As regards the infection on the abdomen, please do show it to a skin doctor, it can be cured. For weight increase one needs, proper nutrition and regular structured exercise. Thank...more

Practin only will increase your appetite but it can also lead you in a state of dizziness and dexamethasone is a steroid which will lead to false weight gain and hence I will suggest you to not take any medicine for weight gain and concentrate on oral food intake.

Dexamaethasone can produce mood disorder, you r right. Discuss this side effect with your doc, and ask for alternative. If this is very much essential for your survival or well being, you need to concurrently consult a psychiatrist and take a mood stabilizer along with it.

Dexona is steroid and steroids are not good for health. Better take alfaalfa tonic for weight gain. It is homoeopathic medicine and no side effects. You can consult me through Lybrate for homoeopathic treatment and further guidance.

Yes, it can be side effects of steroids.
You should better wait for it to pass off.
Don't take any more medicine.
For your regular complaints take homoeopathic treatment.
