My 3 year old daughter is suffering from rashes on the body since 1 week. Initially, it started as swelling in her feet and swelling in the right hand, later the whole body have rashes which is spreading a lot up to 5-6 inches. Initially, when we went to a local r.m.p he has given dexa injections and Atarax syrup. After taking injection she seems to be cured but the situation repeated. That is when we went to the pediatrician. Doctor have suggested using cetirizine and antibiotic novomix 250 mg. Now after doing cbp came to know that her w.b.c count is 11,800 and serology report say crp is 11.0 mg/l. Since 3 days we are in this medication. Am so worried that she is getting lot of itching at night and no change in the reduction of rashes. Am worried about how this situation can be normal. Please suggest what I have to do in this situation.

I am taking desvenlafaxine 50 mg, clonazepam 0.50 mg and amitriptyline 10 mg for last 4 years to cure neurological disorder such as migraines/dizziness/vertigo /automatic anxiety/throbbing in brain etc. My neurologist has cured 90% of my disease but whenever leave these medications symptoms come back specially when I leave clonazepam & desvenlafaxine. I come to know that taking these medications cause cancer and bone mineral density loss. My bone is becoming weaker - my dexa t-score is showing -2.3. Which is impossible at this young age of 34. Is any of these medications harming my bone and which of these medications cause cancer in future? Please share your thoughts on this.

substitute VitD3 calcijointd3sachet or tablet twice a week after breakfast for eight weeks followed by same one per month for six months.

Good evening, I am diagnosed with bipolar mood disorder after a traumatic brain injury in 2008: impairment in frontal lobe/executive dysfunction, t2 wi am using the above for my brain injury, white matter hyperintensity suggestive of a focal area of demyelination, central nervousness system damage -multiple sclerosis (ms), memory/ concentration, depression and agitation, sleep, epilepsy I had subsequently suffered kidney failure in 2017 and was in a coma for 2 weeks. I am currently on the following medication: I am using the meds below for my brain injury: topamax 200 mg x2 odiven 75 mg x3 yelate 60 mg x2 at night zyprexa 10 mg at night diabetic medications: actraphane hm (ge) 24 units in the morning 22 units at night indo metformin (glucophase) 1000 mg x2 in february 2019 I woke up with the most excruciating pain in my jaw, next to my nose, cheek and lower face area. This intense, stabbing, electric shock-like pain will last for several seconds every 2 to 5 minutes. At the hospital the Dr. said I had a stroke but my brain scan showed that the stroke happened a while back. The neuro specialist diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia and is treating me with carbamazepine 400g x2 per day. The side effects are killing me. I have lost 21 kg since feb. I am 52 years old, 1.73 tall and weight 65 kg. I have continuous diarrhea. Can't keep any food in and have abdominal pain. Every time I weigh myself I have lost another kg. Am I busy getting anorexia? Is there any way to manage this? I am short of breath, dizzy and fainting. I am exhausted have no energy my body is tired. Which vitamins can I take to boost my system? Is there any medicine or supplement that is on the market that will make me feel better? The psychiatrist said they can't change the medication (carbamazepine) because of the medication that i'm currently using. Could you please advice.

Dear ,
are you still on topamac? Now that you are on carbamazepine (helpful for neuralgia and brain injury), you may not need topamac (for brain injury). Request your doctor whether you can reduce and stop it. Topamac reduces weight. Stopping it may help you to some extent. At this age weight reduction is good for your diabetes and other health conditions. With 65 kg, you are still not underweight.

I am 21 years old female under treatment for nausea ,vomiting, diarrhea from last 2 weeks. The prescribed medicine are metronidazole 400 mg 3 times, ciprofloxacin 500 mg 2 times, ranitidine 150 mg 2 times and Racecadotril (for 3 days 3 times a day), Ondansetron (3 times for 7 days). Now I am better with vomiting and diarrhea but I feel lot of gas inside my stomach unable to pass gas, only burps and sometime hiccups and I feel nausea/vomiting at night. My CBC, LFT ,KFT, Ultrasound test are normal. Ps - I have previous medical history, I am under treatment for my depression from the last 2 years. I am taking carbamazepine 200 mg two times a day and clonazepam 0.25 mg two times a day. Please tell me how much time it will take to recover. I am feeling very low just because of my nausea/ vomiting.

I have been binging on alcohol since the past 30 years. The binges last for a week up to 20 days and used to occur about 4 times a year. I brought this down to once a year. But, since the last year, I have taken up drinking 3 rounds (120 ml) daily before dinner. I have decided to quit. But like in the past, I do not want detox at a hospital or a spell at a rehab, which, I have realized are just money-making treatments that do not treat. I want to gradually taper the alcohol in-take. Next week, and I am going to come down to 90 ml a day. My problem is AWS - Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome - that manifests in the form of seizures. I am on Benzodiazepine and carbamazepine. I feel afraid all the time of the day of a impending seizure. Also, a good diet because right now, there is no appetite. Can you recommend any medication that would help me achieve my goal - a alcohol-free life? I don't want a hospital or rehab. I want to give up this habit on my own by tapering off my intake. Thank you.

My brother got a lack of oxygen during birth, which led to his mental disability, he is 12 years old now. He suffers from epileptic seizures too. He takes tegrital (carbamazepine) and phenotal 60 (phenobarbitone ). Phenotal is no longer available in our country and with taking other brands of the drug, his seizure attacks wasn't controlled, the serum level of phenobarbitone was 34.96 umol/l which is below the therapeutic range, so his doctor decided to switch his medication to epanutin (phenytoin sodium) so we stopped phenobarbitone gradually within 5 days and started to give him phenytoin. That was last month. He is tired and upset most of the time and he has sleep disturbances. He had tonsillitis in the last 2 days. Today we were in the car, suddenly his face paled and he closed his eyes and then keep closing and opening them, but he talked to me, I thought that his blood pressure went down because he didn't have breakfast. When we got home he didn't remember that we were in the car, is this a type of absence seizure? Is that related to phenytoin? Is it normal when starting using phenytoin? Thank you.

No the episode is not an absence seizure that has different features, but it may be related to his medicine intake and may have been drowsy. I suggest you keep amental note of the episode and continue with medication, in case it recurs you must visit your doctor as it may be a seizure (not necessarily absence) and he may have to be reviewed.

My mother is 58 and she is diabetic from last 5 years. She is taking Tab Amaryl 1mG, voglitor (0.2mg 500). Recently after Dexa scan we found that her bones are getting weak and there is a high risk of fracture, she is on medicine like tab Dolo, Tab Uprise D3, Tab Calcimax, Tab Osteofos, Tab pregaba. She is also taking Cranpac-D for immunity. She is getting repeated UTI from last 4 months and each time same bacteria responsible for this is Escherichia coli. Doctor advised Septran DS after going through the Urine culture report. Bacterial infection cleared in the urine routine report but few other problems occurred. Proteins: Present (plus) Occult Blood: Present (Trace) Pus Cells: 40-50/hpf Red Blood Cells: 6-8/hpf Casts: 6-8/lpf granular casts She is having fever 102-103 Please help.

She is suffering from low grade urinary infection with acute exacerbation mostly aided due to her diabetic state. You haven't mentioned her blood sugar levels. It may be the problem area. Any such infection. If not controlled efficiently will cause it to spread upwards along the ureters and may reach kidneys causing a critical condition called payelonephritis.
If bactrim ds is not giving relief you must urgently consult your physician. He might change the drug according to the culture report...more

As per my Dexa report I got T score of -2.1 in the the left demur femur. Other spine TScore -1.6 My age 69. I got lot Lower back pain and spondylitis of neck. My doctor told mineral density is very low although my serum calcium is 9.I order to improve my bone density my ortho doctor told me to have a one time zoledronic acid 5 mg/100 ml Shortly. My creatine is 1 and blood calcium is 9.Not taking any medication. Other than for BP. Not able you understand why this bone loss has happened to me. Little worried to take this injection due to reported side effects. My doctor told no side effects except minor ones for few days. He says he has given this to more than 800 patients and nothing to worry because I am not having any other illness. Can a any ortho doctor give a second opinion please take it as urgent Thank you.

Followed by a seizure, my wife was diagnosed with Glibastoma 4 with inoperable tumors on left and frontal lobe. She has finished 6 weeks RT with Temodol. She is on Livipril 1000 tbd, Lacosamide 100 tbd and Dexa 4 mg tbd (to be tapered down to 4 mg once). From next week her 5/23 cycle for Temodol will start. Her main issue loss of language and speech that started with seizure has still not improved a bit. Besides location of tumors, Which of these drugs may most likely be contributing to neuro deficit? Can some symptomatic drug be used to get her back to speech n language issues? Can Nootropics or adhd drugs such as concert help or be tried without side effects. Will the adjuvant 5/23 temodol help in nuerodeficit recovery in due course? Does speech therapy help in tumor induced language and speech loss? Help from Allopathic, Homeopathic and Ayurvedic physicians is requested.

I am 32 year old and I had burning sensation in my both limbs due to disc bulging at c3-c4 region in 2017-18. Over a period 2 years gradually decreased burning sensation. Since dec 2022 I was feeling little pain in my elbow while pushing and this pain now reaching to fingers and wrist.
