Thanks for your message. Well firstly I would like to modify her dmards. Probably we should methotrexate in combination with other drugs unless she has had intolerance to it. Yes hcqs has run out of stock in view of current corona crisis. But hopefully it will be back in stock. It has a long lasting effect so will stay in your system for couple of weeks.

Injection depomedrol locally will not essentially dissipate in your blood stream and cause the above mentioned side effects. It is safe if given carefully and in precise dosage. You could upload your x ray and we can see if you can be treated with some other means. Thanks.

She needs to be on close follow up by the neurologist throughout pregnancy. Usually the course of multiple sclerosis is not worsened in pregnancy and she can continue solumedrol (prednisone) if she was taking it before pregnancy. It does not affect the baby. The baby growth needs to be monitored. She will need the steroid during labour too if she is taking it in pregnancy. She can have a normal delivery.
