Hi Aparna. Depo- provera is progesterone hormone. It is given when there is a risky pregnancy. This hormone is already present in a pregnant woman. It stabilises the pregnancy and hence is not harmful. Whenever we expect that the pregnancy maybe having problems or when we anticipate that pregnancy mayn't continue we give progesterone. Hope this information helps you. All the best

Depo-Provera is a contraceptive method for women. It’s made of a hormone similar to progesterone.
It's a shot that a doctor gives you in the arm or buttocks. Each shot works for up to 12 to 14 weeks, but you must get the injection once every 12 weeks to get its full protection.

It is unsafe to take emergency pull for more than once or twice and you are taking it every 10 days which is dangerous. If you cannot take daily pills you can take once weekly pill like Saheli or once in three months injection of depo provera .If you have already had a child you can safely put intrauterine device which is safe for 5 years
