What you are suffering is called hypertension. And it needs medicines because the body's bp needs to be regulated or else it will cause damage to the vital organs like brain, kidneys etc.
Now that you are pregnant, the medicines must be continued, as they were. There is no need to reduce medicines unless you have symptoms related to it.

Beta blocker is used for tachycardia. Pl. Do not stop with out consult cardiologist even you do not like it. For control high b. P./ t. G. And high/ bad cholesterol eat as whole grain foods, green veg. Juice, plenty of water at least 8 glass of water in a day.
