I understand that your mother is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and has been put on drug treatment.
However you have not mentioned how long has she been taking treatment because the effect of medicines comes on at an average of 6 weeks of regular treatment. Please try to understand ankylosing spondylitis which is diagnosed by hlab27 is not an ordinary disease.
Well disease activity worsens, just tablets become in effective.
Be that anything including naproxen myoril calcium न्यूकॉक्सिया sulfasalazine methotrexate etc etc etc.

Dear...... Gargle with warm water, drink warm water, juice,green veg., veg. Soups, lquid diets, dalia, protein diets, tulsi leaf in tea or warm water, geloy juice, take vit.C diet.
A avoid cold area, dust area, cold things .i.e. ice creams, take bed rest ,
