I have 4 mm stone at upper pole of right kidney and 6.5 mm stone at vuj along with condition of hydronephrosis and hydroureter. My kft, urine culture and x-ray kub were normal (test done on 11th may). Doctor advised me to have deflazacort 30 for 7 days and urimax .4 mg for 3 weeks. It's been 10 days since I started taking medicines (10urimax &7 deflazacort) still stones are not flushed out. How much time is required in general to pass the stones thru urine, what is the success rate and if not successful what should be the next step, is there any other medications which can help.

Stone at VUJ is obstructing. If persistent pain ,any episode of fever URS is next step. You can wait max upto 2 weeks .If stone is not passed out you must undergo endoscopic removal ,if not ,it may lead to renal damage.

I have a bit cough since may, 2020 and in june I had a cavity 19. After recovery from the cavity 19, my cough did not cure and continue for 2 months. Then for one month only I had relief from cough but from oct, 2020 cough started again. After diagnosed by pulmologist suggested ct scan and found lungs sarcoidosis after that he advice me for bronchoscopy and same result came but there were some necrosis found in the bronchoscopy report. He prescribed tb medicine for 3 months by saying that if there will be chance of tb will stop otherwise it is difficult to control it. Now three months over and no improvement. One more ct scan has been performed and reported" no significant interval change" then, the doctor remove pyzina 2000 mg from my prescription and add defcort 48 mg. Kindly guide me that should I continue my rcinex 600 mg and combutol 1200 mg with defcort 48 mg or one more thing is it 48 mg of defcort is sufficient or more than the required steroid? My weight is 75 kg and is there any other way to be get rid of from steroid or any other treatment to cure.

Yes you shd continue with steriods and steriod dosage is right for your weight. But I wouldn have started you on anti tb meds unless you developed any symptoms of it.

Go for a mri scan of the affected should which will help to diagnose the exact problem. Also get your blood sugar and ESR checked.

I am 84 kgs and 5 feet 5 inch height. I have more fat in abdomen area than hand and legs. And from past month I gain 3 kgs. 4 months ago I am on 21 days deflazacort gradually decreased dose. After that I do not have any cortical steroid exposure. Do I have causing syndrome. Or is it possible 3 kg weight gain in 1 months.

Hello, You are obesed which might cause looking your figure, dwarf. Moreover, increasing height be possible upto 18 years of age. You have not mentioned your age .You need to reduce your weight first.

You have a lot of steriod related side effects. Oral treatments with steriods for allergy is outdated. Please get to see a good allergist in your area and discuss the prospects of allergen immunotherapy or desensitization.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall.
Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. The type of allergy you are mentioning may need some investigations and treatment needs to be continued for long time. The cetrizine is slowly reduced and stopped. However, deflazacort is a steroid and I would suggest not using it without supervision. Best wishes.

I had a 6.5 mm vuj stone along with condition of hydronephrosis & hydroureter, for that doctor gave me deflazacort (7 days) & urimax (21 days. Now I passed the stone successfully & hydronephrosis condition is also resolved. Still I have a 4 mm stone in right kidney. No need to take further medicines. Just drink plenty of fluid daily. These medicine cannot remove stone in kidney these are given if the stone is in ureter.
